1. Sensei

Sensei is a new cocktail bar, and definitely one of the best new restaurants in Calgary for a date night! With delectable bites, innovative cocktails and a casual rock vibe with an asian flair, this new spot is perfect for a guaranteed fun night out!
2. Major Tom

Major Tom‘s slogan is “40 floors above it all,” and it’s exactly right. When you dine at Major Tom’s, you will be looking at amazing views of Calgary’s skyline, while devouring anything they bring to the table. This is a must try for your next special occasion date night!
3. South Block BBQ & Brewing Co.

Is there a better combo than BBQ and beer? We don’t think so either! South Block BBQ and Brewing is the newest restaurant in Mission, brought to us from our smokin’ friends over at Comery Block and Hayden Block and this time they took it one step further by pairing the eats with their own beer. We ain’t mad about it and you won’t either when you visit! Make sure to keep in mind that all meats are 50% off after 10pm!
4. Fonda Fora
630 4 Ave SW
In the brand new Westley Hotel, is the new contemporary Mexican concept, Fonda Fora from the same restaurant group that brought us Native Tongues and A1 Cantina! The Watermelon Paloma (pictured above) is a definite must-try and well…so is basically everything on the menu.
5. The Halal Guys

Originally the first Halal NYC food cart and now a YYC 17th Ave staple – The Halal Guys is a must for a casual date night! If you really want to heat things up – dare your date to try the Halal Guys Hot Sauce, registering 100,000-130,000 on the Scoville scale (10x more than a jalapeño).
6. The Rooftop YYC

The Rooftop YYC by Ceili’s is a covered patio bar with a forever garden-party feel and incredible summer dance party vibes. With the all over greenery coverage, the multiple bars, delicious food and amazing tunes, this is definitely one of the best new restaurants in Calgary – especially for those looking to have a good time, all night long!
7. Candy Shop

Epic cocktails, ~*extra*~ desserts and great times! What more could you want for a fun night out with your sweetheart? Whether you visit Candy Shop for a date night or an amazing girls’ night, it will most definitely be a night nobody will forget – with sugar, sparklers and all!
8. Toto Pizza

Toto Pizza is the new Bridgeland neighbourhood family-run pizzeria, but all of Calgary is loving this doughy goodness. They use a family dough recipe and a collection of Nonna’s recipes to create this casual, no-fuss Italian atmosphere.
9. Flirty Bird

Now if you really wanted to heat things up, Flirty Bird, the new Bridgeland hot spot (literally) is about to knock your socks off. Nashville hot fried chicken sandwiches – and we mean HOT. The chicken ranges in spiciness from No flirt (no spice) to Hot Flirt (where it gets steamy) all the way to the Scorchin’ Hot Flirt (The hottest in town). Keep that fire alive!
10. Saucy Burger

Saucy Burger is a new Calgary burger joint is bringing a new take to the classic burger with extra juicy Alberta beef patties sitting high on a potato bun with the star – an extra cheesy sauce. It’s called Saucy Burger for a reason, after all!
