A Fresh Suggestion for the Most Important Meal of the Day

Looking for a new weekend tradition? We’ve got you covered. Savor your Saturday/Sunday  with brunch at Barcelona Tavern. Sick of waiting three hours for some eggs and bacon? In addition to a deliciously unique menu, Barcelona’s beautiful new space is large enough to accommodate all the hungry sinners—meaning less waiting and more brunching. If you abide by the more the merrier policy, Barcelona is the perfect place to take a large group of friends and family.

From mimosas with your best buds, to a post Saturday morning snooze-in with your significant other, why not enjoy it with a little Mediterranean twist? We’d honestly suggest you try everything (seriously it’s that good) but if you need some help narrowing it down, we’ve selected our top choices to start your day off right.

 E A T

Barcelona Benny

House chorizo sausage, and Serrano ham, topped with brown butter hollandaise sauce, served with golden hash browns—this Benny will have you craving brunch for every meal of the day. It’s stacked on sidewalk citizen bread, making it the ultimate in local love.

French Toast Trifle

Barcelona’s French toast game is on point. This masterpiece is topped with strawberries, raspberries and Saskatoon berries—served with a lemon meringue curd drizzled on top. While we usually count sugar as a food group, this French toast is equally delicious with or without syrup. Try it both ways and see for yourself, either way we can promise one thing—you wont want to share.

Coffee & Doughnuts

You had us a churros. Served with dulce de leche and hazelnut chocolate dipping sauces, this morning indulgence is one hundred percent worth it. The Spanish coffee, made with Kahlua, Brandy and Analog roast, is a crowd favourite for extreme connoisseurs and non-coffee drinkers alike.

 D R I N K

It’s 5 o’clock somewhere—who says you can’t have a little morning hair of the dog? Barcelona makes a mean caesar, or if you prefer some bubbles try the San Sebastian Cava with peach ciroc, strawberries, and lemon. Their sangria is also a must available in red, white and cava, it can be served by the glass or in 1 L pitchers, making it perfect for sharing.

They also just updated their menu with two for one mimosas so there is no reason not to go now.

So take our word for it and go Brunch in Barcelona, Saturdays & Sundays between 11am-3pm. We’ll see you there!
