Evergreen Festival has been THE go-to place for your market dates this month and it’s one of our favourite places to do all of our holiday shopping. Along with supporting local businesses and brands, the market is filled with Insta-worthy displays and fun events to get you in the holiday spirit!

In the heart of Downtown Halifax, you can find this 4-week long winter wonderland down by the Halifax Waterfront. This will be the your one-stop shop to get everything from wellness and home products, food and baked goods, apparel, art, and more from locals and creators from Nova Scotia. This spot will also be the best location for taking some festive holiday photos with their numerous installations and decorations.

With more tasty options this year than ever before, be sure to come to the festival on an empty stomach so you can fill up on all the yummy snacks and treats! You’ll find decadent hot chocolates, boozy drinks, festive sweets, and savoury eats.

There’s tons of food vendors available at the open-air Evergreen Market as well as special holiday offerings at local restaurants for the Evergreen Soups & Sips event. 

The Evergreen Village is a collection of festive activities and attractions right on the Halifax Waterfront. Grab your date and experience the magic of the festival from above with a free ride on the Develop Nova Scotia Ferris Wheel. How romantic! The ride will run during market hours. 

There are 24 cozy wooden chalets at the Evergreen Market this year with vendors from across the province offering a variety of local food, drink, apparel, gifts, and more. You’ll find tons of gift ideas from cozy apparel to festive decorations and craft beer, to name a few.

Stay Warm With Specialty Hot Chocolate

You can’t have a true holiday market experience without some hot chocolate. Stop by The Garden Halifax & Charboyz chalet for a Naughty or Nice Torched Hot Chocolate. You can also pick up some delish hot chocolate mix to go (great stocking stuffer idea!) from the Bird’s Nest Cafe chalet.

Evergreen Bright is a walkable outdoor trail of holiday light displays and installations along the Halifax Waterfront, throughout Downtown Halifax, Downtown Dartmouth, and beyond! This season there are even more fun displays and twinkly lights to take some fun photos for your next Instagram post! 

Evergreen Festival is on until December 19th! Light installations will are lit from 4:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. each night of the week and will be up through the holiday season, ending January 2, 2022. 

Evergreen Market Hours:

Friday-Saturday 12 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Sunday 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
