Say hello to the magic little black book that unlocks $500 in date night deals; aka the #21Dates Passport. We collaborated with 21 local businesses to get you off your couch and exploring the city. Whether you’re looking to share the experiences with your SO or you’re using it casually, let this free you of all those date night woes.

You have until March 31st to get those #21Dates in so we’re sharing five ways to use that bad boy to the fullest. Because what’s worst then expired coupons?

1. Register your passport (if you haven’t already)

This will give you access to some pretty kickass bonus points that get you closer to winning the top 3 prizes for completing all 21 dates – holllaaa. You can register it here.

2. Choose a date.

No need to complete dates in order. In fact, it’s better when you randomly select a date. We suggest choosing one a little out of your comfort zone first to start things spicy. When’s the last time you shucked oysters at Rodney’s or laced up your skates at The Olympic Oval? When have you let your inner artist run wild with paint night at Raw Canvas or really felt the music at a Calgary Philharmonic show?

Pro tip: Take note of experiences that are time sensitive in the fine print on each partner page.

3. Try something new.

Are you due for a double date with your favourite couple? Challenge yourself (and your relationship) at Escape 60. Looking for a thrill? Race bae to the top at Bolder Climbing or tube down the hill at Winsport. Want to show off your skills? Hit the bowling lanes at National on 10th or spend your Mondays at Wild Rose Brewery playing Trivia, Bingo or Name that Tune.

4. Get creative.

Get a little handsy by rolling your own sushi at Goro + Gun or creating beautiful plants to liven up your home space at Kokedama. Nothing beats having tangible objects you can proudly call your own. Hone into your creative energy on an artsy date by catching live shows at Theatre Calgary and Theatre Junction.

5. Share your experience.

You can’t be a winner of the top 3 prizes without sharing on social media using #21Dates. We want to see the awesome things you’re doing! Psssst… We may even share your photo on our platform. #instafamous

Get that much-needed cheers Boomerang at National on 17th and Mill Street Brewery as you learn about different brews. Take photos before you eat those BBQ platters from Trolley 5 and flight and snack combos from Ricardo’s.

6. And, just have fun.

Let these experiences connect you to your city AND your partner in crime by having fun with it. Get your Taco Tuesday on at Tropical on 17th, have some cocktails and bites at The Nash and enjoy a dinner for two at Raw Bar.

For those with FOMO over not having the passport yet, word on the street is if you pop by Fiasco Gelato, you can pick one up, grab a scoop of gelato and earn your first gold star all in one go.

Oh and remember there’s a two-night stay in Banff (first place), $500 from the Rec Room (second place) and two tickets to a Date Night event (third place) on the line. So get yo’ date on, YYC!
