Recently, I checked out one of BC’s ultra dog-friendly luxury retreats; Predator Ridge Resort. This Okanagan resort experience has everything from dog-friendly rooms to pet parking stations, re-hydration stations and even dog-friendly golf! It’s the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy a lovely vacation, with your pet by your side.
Here’s a look into my stay — including the rooms and pet-friendly activities that Hercules and I enjoyed while we were there!
The Rooms
We stayed in the “The Lodge” Superior Two Bedroom Suite, which included one master bedroom with a king-sized bed and large bathroom, a second bedroom with two twin beds and its own bathroom, as well as, a massive kitchen and living space. I can’t forget to mention the spacious patio that came with golf course views and driving range views — which Hercules loved!
The Resort
While walking around Predator Ridge Resort, I stumbled upon so many “pet parking” stations — which are stations to leave your dog at while you run into one of the on-site shops. The Commonage Market is your one-stop shop for cafe treats, beer, wine, food items and even pet goods. This market makes a point of supporting local, so many of the items you can find are right from the Okanagan.
Dog-Friendly Golf
One thing I completely didn’t expect from this luxury resort, was dog-friendly golf. Every Sunday evening after 4 p.m., dogs are allowed to join their owner for a round on this prestigious course. Hercules and I had a blast golfing and exploring these beautiful greens. We even saw a few deer along the way! Keep in mind, this is still a regular 18-hole round of golf, so make sure to bring lots of treats and water to keep your dog happy along the way.
Overall, Hercules and I really enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this to anyone who loves both golf and travelling with their pet!
