As February unfolds, Miami is gearing up to honor and celebrate Black History Month. From cultural exhibits to lively performances, the city is hosting a variety of events that pay tribute to the rich and diverse contributions of the African American community. Annual Black History Gospel Music Awards and Brunch

The Albert E. & Sadie B. Smith Conference Center on the Florida Memorial University campus will come alive with the seventh edition of the Annual Black History Gospel Music Awards and Brunch. Presented by the Miami-Dade Alliance of Gospel Music Professionals, this highly anticipated event is a heartfelt celebration of gospel’s rich history and heritage.

Melton Mustafa Jazz Festival

The Melton Mustafa Jazz Festival, in its 27th edition, is back with an exciting celebration coinciding with the 110th anniversary of the Lyric Theater. This four-day musical extravaganza features exceptional jazz musicians, school bands, local talents, accomplished authors, artists, vendors, and more.

Taste of Black Spirits Miami

February 22nd – February 25, 2024 Multiple locations

Experience the “Taste of Black Spirits,” a thoughtfully curated event aimed at promoting equity for Black-owned spirit brands. The gathering will shine a spotlight on the rich history and evolution of Black expert distillers, distributors, and industry trailblazers.
