Brewers Row in Port Moody: Your Next Date Adventure

Warm weather is here so your next date idea should involve patios and flights of beer.
Different glasses of beer on a patio table with a very blurry background lake. The sun is just about to set.

A day at the breweries is the perfect idea for either a first date or the 100th date. With so many great spots that are within walking distance from each other, there is bound to be something for any experience you are looking for. But one of our favourites is Brewers Row in Port Moody

Brewers Row in Port Moody is located right next to Rocky Point Park and is a great spot to go with your boo, friends, dogs, or pretty much anyone. Steps away from the Moody Centre sky train station, it is easily accessible to have a great day rain or shine. Now let’s get into the good stuff.

Moody Ales

A patio fit for your day date to start your brewery tour off at. Enjoy flights, people watch, and smell the amazing things coming from all the food trucks parked along the row for the day.

A few of our favourites here to try in a flight are the Chipper Blonde Ale, Schwartz Weather Dark Lager, Boss Juice Double IPA, and the Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout.

What is great about Moody Ales is that you can view and add yourself to their waitlist before you get there so you can plan accordingly. Brewers row is definitely a hot spot and this is just one way to make the day even better.

Find their waitlist here and get going. Nobody needs to go thirsty today.

Bakery Brewing

This place is great because you can choose to sit in the sunshine and work on that tan or sit undercover if we are a bit sun shy.

These are small batched beers here so whenever you come you can always find something  new to try out.

Grab some snacks from which ever food truck is located outside and head on in to enjoy a flight or two or more. You never know where the wind is going to blow you.

A few of our favourites to try are the Nitro Espresso Breakfast Stout, Pineapple Punch XPA, Wine Barrel Brett Lager, and the Grapefruit Summer Ale.

Parkside Brewery

Now for the middle of your Brewers Row tour, you will stumble upon Parkside. Probably one of the coolest flights you will get because the glasses come on a mini park bench. (We know adorable) Anyways, Parkside is great because they have a huge front patio to hang out on. Big tables with lots of room to have double dates (or triple dates) and play cards.

You can even check their website for a food truck calendar to plan when you want to come! Personally our favourite day of the week is Tuesday for obvious reasons. #tacotuesday But in all food truck seriousness, we’ve never been disappointed at a truck serving up delicious eats.

A few of our favourites from the middle of our tour are Cask: Squarepants sour pineapple gose, Dusk Pale Ale, Humans: An IPA for the people, and Motel Hazy IPA.

Yellow Dog Brewing Co.

One of the OG’s of the row and stop #4 on our tour is Yellow Dog Brewing co. All the beers names relate back to our furry four legged friends and we are absolutely here for it!

With a newly renovated backyard patio area, this place is ready for you to relax in and enjoy all the dogs that have come for their own tasting, or what we like to call petting central. All the good boys and girls are here to make the day the fluffiest adventure yet.

Stop in for one or hangout out here all day with your date or date crew while the sun shines down and you work on you tan. Bring a card game or two and get competitive. Losers have to buy the next round or have to get the next snacks from the trucks.

A few of our favourites from Yellow Dog to try in your flights are Chase My Tail Pale Ale, Shake A Paw Smoked Porter, Play Dead IPA, and Squirrel Chaser Hazy IPA.

Twin Sails Brewery

On the final leg of the Brewers Row tour, or your starting point should you choose to go in the opposite direction, we have Twin Sails Brewery.

Started by twin brothers, the name comes from them and the sail boats that are off in the distance from the brewery. There is usually a lot of action to watch from your seat seeing as this location is right in front of Rocky Point Park. Grab yourself and your date a flight and sit back in the sunshine while the hustle and bustle cruises on by.

More than likely you will have another amazing food truck option close by to continue the snacking tour. We like to finish off with the beavertail truck when they are around.

Some of our favourites to try in your flight here are the Dat Juice 100% Citra Pale Ale, Nice Nice Fram House Ale, Good Clean Fun West Coast IPA, and Would Crush Raspberry Wheat Ale.

Now we know that some times you want to switch it up and drink a little something different. Or maybe beer isn’t really your drink of choice. No problem at all because Brewers Row in Port Moody is home to so many other options including a cocktail bar!

Rocky Point Spirits

If you are feeling like switching up your beverage choice, this would be the place to check out.

They make some refreshing classic cocktails for you to enjoy such as Moscow Mules, a classic G&T with rosemary, and a heavenly Cold Brew mixed with their house distilled vodka.

Not only do they have fantastic cocktails, they also have created a Vodquila. Mind Blowing – WE KNOW! A vodka that smells and tastes just like tequila. We truly had to see it for ourselves.

This is a great place to start at if you are having a group date and everyone in your party is looking for something different. Since they have everything from beer, custom drinks, vodka infused teas, and a few different non-alcoholic drinks (DD’s get free pop – not all heroes wear capes) you are sure to have a grand old time staring off towards the water.

On top of Brewers Row in Port Moody there are so many great restaurants and shops to check out in the area. It can absolutely turn into a full staycation date if you wanted to stay over night close by. Plus that means no one has to DD since everything is in walking distance.
