This also means promoting intersectionality and supporting women from all walks of life, cultures and ethnicities, socioeconomic situations and more.
It’s about recognizing the everyday heroes who are breaking barriers, and making the world a better place, one fierce move at a time.

SkirtsAFire HerArts Festival
Founded in 2012, SkirtsAfire is a 10 day theatre and multidisciplinary arts festival that empowers, develops, supports and showcases women and non-binary artists. Bring your group out for exceptional performances including The Key of Me, The Shoe Project, and a new work by Christine Lesiak, The Space Between Stars.

2024 International Women’s Day Women + Wealth Gala
The 2024 International Women’s Day Women + Wealth Gala, hosted by Women & Wealth Inc, aims to empower and support women in Canada as they navigate leadership roles in various sectors. This gala offers inspiring speakers who will be sharing their success stories. On March 8th, 2024 guests can enjoy a three-course meal, receive an incredible Women’s Day Gift Bag, and gain access to the Welcome Reception.

Women of Aviation
On March 9th, 2024 the 10th Annual Celebration of Women of Aviation Worldwide Week (WOAW) takes place the the Alberta Aviation Museum. Join the global momentum for gender representation in the aviation industry. There will be innovative presentations on “object handling.” This special feature will showcase never-before-seen artifacts, including uniforms from flight attendants in the 1960s-1990s and RCAF uniforms from the 1940s-1950s.

The Story of Linda Ronstadt

A Celebration of Women
Get ready to vibe with some seriously talented ladies on March 10th, 2024! Edmonton’s own composer and violinist, Alissa Cheung, is hitting the stage with her own killer tunes, alongside some of the coolest musicians in the city. The Rebel Boss Women’s Day Market
Celebrate International Women’s Month with WE Alberta at The Rebel Boss Market Event on March 17th 2024 at Gold Bar Hall from 10am-3pm. Bring the family for epic day of supporting 25+ local women in business. There will be two playgrounds and a skating rink on site.
