National Pride Month takes places each year in the month of June and Ottawa is all set to host an exciting array of events and activities throughout the month. From comedy nights with the city’s best queer comedians to dazzling drag performances, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Join the LGBTIQA+ community and allies as we come together to commemorate the progress made, raise awareness, and foster a sense of unity and belonging.

Visit Heart & Crown’s Barrhaven location for a spectacular Pride Month edition of their drag show event. This show will celebrate the power of embracing one’s true self, no matter the challenges. Prepare to be dazzled by a captivating blend of music, comedy, and theatrics as talented performers take the stage to share stories of resilience and self-discovery.

Date: Monday, June 19th from 8 – 10 p.m.

Location: 3161 Strandherd Dr, Ottawa

Cost: $22.63 

Visit Yuk Yuks’ Ottawa West location to laugh the night away with the city’s best local queer comedians. The show will be hosted by David Haddad and features Melanie Paige, Alice Howard, Scott Yarwood, Sophie Hayes, and Rob Aaron Morgan

Date: Wednesday, June 7th from 7:30 – 10 p.m.

Location: 1394 Richmond Rd, Ottawa (located inside Biagio’s Italian Kitchen)

Get ready for a night of glitz, glamour, and fabulousness at the Zak’s Diner Westboro SUPPER CLUB! Talented drag performers will be taking the stage to showcase their incredible talents by serving up fierce looks and killer performances. You won’t want to miss a single moment of the action! 

The event will be hosted by Saltina Shaker and Sunshine Glitterchild with a special guest performance by Vera!

Date: Saturday, June 10th from 8 – 11 p.m.

End your Pride Month celebrations with a bang with be proud productions’ A Night of Queeriosity event! Enjoy live music, drag and burlesque performances, and live piercers and tattoo artists. 

Date: Friday, June 30th from 7 p.m. – 1 a.m.

Location: SAW Gallery at 67 Nicholas St, Ottawa

Age Requirement: 18+

Cost: $27.96 in advance (or $25 at the door)

Visit Zak’s Elgin St location for a fabulous brunch featuring some of Ottawa’s best local drag talent. There will be a limited feature menu for the event as well as prizes for audience participation games!

Head to T’s Pub for an unforgettable night of adventure, empowerment, and community with the Ottawa Knights’ “George of the Jungle” event! This event celebrates the LGBTQ+ spirit and the Leatherman community here in Ottawa. Get ready for an electrifying atmosphere that combines strength, pride, and inclusivity! 

Date: Saturday, June 10th at 9 p.m.

Celebrate Pride Month with Rupaul’s Drag Race Season 15 contestant, Marcia Marcia Marcia! This musical theater performer and gymnast hits all the right beats as one of NYC’s fiercest Drag stars, and holds the spot of most viewed Lip Sync in Rupaul’s Drag Race Herstory! This will be an evening of spectacular Drag performances that you won’t want to miss out on! 

Date: Saturday, June 17th at 8 p.m.

Location: Bronson Centre Music Theatre at 211 Bronson Ave, Ottawa

Age Requirement: All Ages

Cost: General Admission is $37.04, Meet & Greet Package is $67.40

Their Rainbow Cakes are just as cute as they are tasty and $5 from each cake goes to the Ten Oaks Project – a non-profit organization that connects children and youth from 2SLGBTQ+ identities, families, and communities through summer camp and local programs. The cake is available in Classic Rainbow or Trans Flag but they can also do other flags on request (with advance notice). Gluten-free options are also available. 

They also offer the sweetest Gluten-free Rainbow Donuts that are sure to brighten up your date’s day!
