If you have ever wanted to see some of your favourite artists up close and personal in a local, intimate show vs. the usual arena or stadium tours, then this summer at Spruce Meadows is when your dreams will come true!

Every weekend leading up to Stampede and on Canada Day, a different A-List artist will be putting on an unforgettable performance for no more than 2,000 people! As a special perk, your concert ticket also grants you access to their “Epic Weekends” world-class show jumping tournaments on the same days as the concerts.

If this sounds right up your alley, here’s who you could see this year at the Live & Intimate Concert Series at Spruce Meadows:

June 7 – Dean Brody

18-time Canadian Country Music Award winner Dean Brody is kicking off this concert series playing his classics like ”Bring the House Down,” Whisky in a Teacup,” and “I Can’t Help Myself” to this intimate crowd.

Don’t miss the chance to listen to his crowd-favourite hits in this intimate crowd!

June 14 & 15 – City & Colour (solo)

City & Colour are one of those bands that you just have to see in a smaller, cozy show and luck for you this is your opportunity!

Picture this: the summer breeze flies through your hair with the stars glistening in the sky, while you and your friends belt out your favourites like “The Girl,” “Lover Come Back,” and “Comin’ Home.” It doesn’t get much better than that, does it.

June 28 – Metric

It hasn’t been long since Canadian indie-rock superstars Metric put on their electric Coke Stage performance at Stampede 2024, and if you weren’t able to make it through the busy crowd (or simply didn’t want to try) this is your opportunity to see Metric without all the hustle and bustle or worrying if you’ll have a good view!

From “Black Sheep” to “Help I’m Alive” and “Gold Guns Girls,” I would prepare to lose your voice and have the time of your life at this show.

July 1 – Brett Kissel

If you’ve been in Calgary for a while, chances are you’ve attended a Brett Kissel concert – and for good reason!

Kissel puts on an amazing performance, and you’re sure to enjoy it even more in this intimate setting listening to his classics like “She Drives Me Crazy,” “Drink About Me,” and “Anthem.”

July 4, 5 & 6 – Leon Bridges

Closing out the series with two back-to-back nights of iconic tunes and inspirational lyricism, Leon Bridges is putting on a show the only way his music should be listened to – intimately and intentionally.

From “River” and “Beyond,” to “Coming Home” and “Texas Sun,” we won’t judge if a few tears are shed during what is most certainly to be a captivating and incredibly moving performance.

With six days of jaw-dropping equestrian skill by day, and incredible talent by some of Canada’s favorite artists by night, the Live & Intimate Concert Series at Spruce Meadows is sure to be an unforgettable experience.

All tickets are on sale this Valentine’s Day (February 14, 2025) at 10:00 am MST here.
