What age best describes you?
We’re both in our early 20’s.
How long have you been together?
We’ve been together for almost 5 years.
Where did you meet?
The summer before my first year of university and her last year of high school we met through a mutual friend. Somehow we went to the same high school for three years without noticing each other!
What’s your favourite date to go on in YYC?
When we can, we like to go to the mountains as often as possible, whether its hiking, camping or just checking out a new view. When we stay in the city we like to try out new restaurants, but we can’t seem to stay away from Native Tongues Taqueria for their Taco Tuesday special. During colder months we like to put on some skates and go to Olympic Plaza or Bowness Park. During warmer months we’ll walk or raft along the river. Our favourite pathway to walk along is Beaumont Park in Silver Springs.
Do you have ‘pet names’ or nicknames for each other?
We don’t really have cute pet names but we often call each other different variations of often mis pronounced ways of saying our names.
Best relationship advice?
Ask yourself if the other person makes you want to be the best version of yourself. Also know that there will always be outside opinions opposing what you two want for yourselves. Know that this love is for you and nobody else. Don’t compromise your love and happiness for others. Try to continuously work on being kind and patient with one another and don’t forget to communicate.
