Tiny Market Co.
Tiny Market Co., located at 938 Bathurst Street, is a tiny but mighty fresh-foods market, serving up delicious eats. Tiny Market Co. opened in 2021 by owner and Chef Erich Mrak, manager Danielle Soule, baker and pasta maker, Hazel Hinton-Barber, and previous assistant pasta maker Jasmine Coleman.
This retail shop and pasta production kitchen also has a full takeout lunch service, wholesale production and catering, a 7 course tasting menu, and private pasta making classes.
Pasta Making Classes
For a wonderful date night out, Erich and Danielle run pasta making classes where you will learn how to make (and eat) fresh and delicious pasta. These private classes could be for you and your partner, or it makes for a great double or group date! You’ll tie up your apron, pour yourself a glass of wine (it’s BYOB!) and get to work.
During our pasta making class, we made 2 types of pasta. One which was a more advanced and special pasta that you would find in a restaurant, and one which was simple enough to recreate at home! During the class, you get to pick your pastas; their pasta list ranges from short noodle, long noodle and filled pastas. With the trim, you are able to make a third noodle, such as fettuccine or spaghetti. All the pasta you make is packaged for you to take home – so it’s truly the date that keeps on giving!
After the class, we were also offered a home cooked meal which you could pay an additional $25 per person for. We got to try their fresh bread and marinated olives and 2 different pasta dishes. One being a portion of one of the pastas we make ourself in class, paired with a house made sauce. The second dish was a house made noodle, also paired with a house made sauce.
Get ready to really impress your date with Tiny Market Co. and your new-found pasta making skills. Buon appetito!
