Your Guide To Yaletown Dining
With so many areas in the city to stop for a bite to eat, we thought why not pick our top 5 places in each location. Kicking it off with the boujee place to be seen, here are our picks for date night in Yaletown.
Up first we have The Parlour. One of our favourite items on the menu here is The Goldmember pizza. It is deliciously topped with caramelized onion, mushroom duxelle, yukon gold potatoes, truffle oil, gruyère and mozza. Hold your drool in, we know its hard. But it gets better because you have to dip the pizza in the famous 6’10 dip. There is a secret to wear it came from, but you’re going to have to go in to ask about it.
With a super fun atmosphere, patio seating, back lounge, and champagne popping, you are sure to have an exciting date night here.
Second up on our list is Banter Room. This place is amazing for watching sports on the weekend with the most amazing brunch. We are a sucker for benny’s and they have great ones, but you have to try the short rib hash. It has so much flavour, you taste buds will be on fire! But in a good way. If you’re lucky enough to be on a date with some who likes to share their food, than we highly recommend splitting them so you get the best of both worlds.
Now if you’re not super hungry but are still in the neighbourhood for a good night out, why not pop into Bartholomew. It has a super fun & edgy vibe. Almost like walking into a upscale New York City bar.
The decor inside has been picked out perfectly. We recommend sitting right up at the bar so you can take in the gorgeous spirit wall behind it.
Now for our favourite cocktails, we recommend trying out their new spice of life The Red Dress. It’s kind of like a simple take on a New York Sour. If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, try one of their whiskey and cheese tastings. Choose from a tour of Scotland or around the Globe. You will be treated to three 15ml whiskies paired with the best cheese.
Now if pasta isn’t the way to your heart than we feel sorry for you. Robba Da Matti has the most incredible pasta we’ve ever tasted. You are truly transported to Italy when you walk through the doors. They have the warmest welcome and the friendliest staff to take care of your evening. Enjoy a truly romantic evening with your date.
Last on our list for the article is West Oak. We love this spot for their covered patio. It’s nice to be able to sit outside with our beautiful Vancouver rain and cheers wine over the 14oz Veal Chop “parm” For Two.
Yes that’s right dinner for two on the menu and it is absolutely delicious. Pair it with a lovely bottle of wine or some specialty cocktails for a romantic date night out.
Need a little something for dessert? Finnish date night off with The Tiffany Blue, just like Breakfast at Tiffany’s
