What could make a patio date even better? Puppies, of course! If you and your date are dog-obsessed and looking for dog-friendly patios to head out and enjoy the weather in Toronto, these local spots are going to be your faves this summer:
Black Lab Brewing
I mean, it’s named after a dog so you know this Leslieville spot will be one of our top dog-friendly patios. The Black Lab Beer Garden is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to enjoy a craft beer; or even host your pup’s birthday party!
Located at 818 Eastern Ave, Toronto.
Against the Grain
Against the Grain’s beautiful waterfront patio isn’t just for people dates! Break the ice and bring your pup down to enjoy the views at this dog-friendly patio.
Located at 25 Dockside Drive, Toronto.
Dundas and Carlaw
Dundas and Carlaw spot not only have some of the best caesars in the city, but is also the perfect place to chill with your date’s dog… I mean, your date, and the dogs! This dog-friendly patio is a community staple with wine, beer, coffee, and eats.
Located at 1173 Dundas St E, Toronto.
Rabbit! Rabbit! Rabbit!
This spot has Southwestern American eats in a chill hangout spot with a 1970’s Texas vibe. “Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit” is a superstitious saying; say it when you wake up at the beginning of every month, for good luck all month long.
You’re in luck if you have a dog and are looking for a trendy patio to hit up, Rabbit! Rabbit! Rabbit! is a dog-friendly patio!
Located at 461 King Street West, Toronto.
Enchanted Poutinerie
Not only does Enchanted Poutinerie serve up some of the most loved (and colourful) poutine in the city, but their patio is one not to be missed.
While poutine spots usually focus on take-out, these guys are all about the experience! Grab colourful cocktails with your date to accompany your Unicorn Poutine and let your pup enjoy this dog-friendly patio, too!
Located at 730 Wilson Ave, North York.
Henderson Brewing Co.
If local craft beer (in really cool cans) on a dog-friendly patio sounds like the perfect date, head over to Henderson’s. Their bottle shop and patio are open every day for beer lovers to enjoy.

Hair of the Dog
Hair of the Dog is some perfect advice for the morning after a late night date, but also one of Church Street’s best patios to hit up. Whether you’re going for dinner and drinks, or for a sunny brunch date, bring your furbaby along to get the VID (Very Important Dog) treatment.

Avling Kitchen & Brewery
Avling has a sunny and plant-filled patio that is perfect for Leslieville date nights, and you can bring your furbaby along! We love that Avling has a rooftop farm; any green spaces are good in our books, and you can tour the 4,000 sq ft farm along with the brewery every Wednesday from 5:30pm until 6:30pm.
The restaurant designed their patio menu with dishes FULL of ingredients sourced from their rooftop farm, it’s a true farm-to-table experience in the city.
On an Avling date, you can enjoy lunch from 12-3pm, “Avling Hour” with $6 draughts from 3-5:30pm, and dinner from 5:30-10pm. We love how many date ideas are under (or on-top of) one roof!
