Christmas is right around the corner and all our favourite holiday festivities have begun like artisan markets, gift guides and Zoolights. Did you know The Zoo is hosting an adults only Zoolights night?! Yeah, we thought that might catch your attention. Not that we don’t love hanging with little kids and drinking hot chocolate, but we love drinking wine and taking over the skating rink ourselves even more. The Glow is the last adult night of the year where you can experience Zoolights after hours for one night only.
If you’ve been to the regular Adult Nights at the Zoo you know they’re a blast – drinks, appies and endless activities, what else do you need on a Thursday night? Add in 1.5 million twinkling lights and you’ve got yourself the best Instagram photo with your girls or the most romantic date ever. The holiday season can get crazy with parties, potlucks, gift exchanges and shopping so take the time to slow down and enjoy what the holiday season is really about – spending quality time with your loved ones and drinking hot chocolate.
You’ll begin your evening indoors in the ENMAX Conservatory where you’ll enter the Wonderland rabbit hole. As you make your way through the Wonderland-themed appies you can take a pic with the Mad Hatter at his tea party, talk about FOMO. Pop into the Queen of Hearts Activity centre to get creative and make a few holiday crafts while sipping on holiday season libations. Take your hot chocolate to go and head out to the skating rink where the party is in full swing. The DJ will keep you moving and dancing all night long. It will feel like a winter Wonderland with the twinkling lights, falling snow and bundled up friends.
Forget the mistletoe, you’ll find plenty of romantic spots amongst the sparkling lights as you stroll through the park admiring the displays. What better way to keep warm than cozying up beside each other? There are six big fire fits to warm up and cuddle by while sipping on marshmallow filled hot chocolate. Adult Night is open from 6:30pm to 11:00pm, enough time for you to enjoy all the activities and admire the lights.
