Miami is among the most popular vacation spots during every season so you already know the datenight team had to head over and spend a gorgeous weekend at the new Gale Miami Hotel & Residences.
The stunning hotel is located in the heart of Downtown Miami (601 NE 1st Ave, Miami) overlooking a breathtaking waterfront scene you’d typically dream of. Think sunshine, waves, yachts, palm trees, pool club views and more!
We knew as soon as we walked in that the experience would be the perfect blend of luxury, fun, and relaxation.
first date impressions
From the moment we arrived, the experience and hospitality was extraordinary. The lobby at the Gale is nothing short of glamorous, with its high ceilings and elegant décor, but it’s the warm and welcoming concierge service is what set the tone for what would be an unforgettable stay.
We were quickly checked in and off to our room on the 11th floor: the Waterview Two Bedroom Residence with Kitchen & Balcony.
a suite with a view
The suite was beyond what we could have imagined. The living and dining spaces were open and inviting, with elegant European furnishings and a calming palette of deep blue and ivory.
Our room included comforts and luxuries like access to a private, furnished balcony for outdoor dining and looking at the water, a spacious living area, an indoor dining area with table and banquette, a work desk, exclusive Gale Miami toiletry products, and more!
The balcony offered stunning views of Biscayne Bay, PortMiami, the Freedom Tower, and the Kayesa Center. Waking up to those views felt like something out of a dream.
The primary suite is equipped with a king-sized bed, and en-suite bathroom that became a haven of comfort. The second bedroom, with its queen bed and second full bath, made everything feel spacious and luxurious – and yes, we definitely did stay in both rooms and bathrooms to try them out.
The suite’s kitchenette had everything we needed for late-night snacks and morning coffee, and we were obsessed with the Nespresso machine—a necessary touch for our mornings.
wellness & relaxation
On our first full day, we headed to the Gale Wellness Center on the 10th floor, and wow—it was just what we needed to unwind.
We booked a couples massage, and after our treatments we took full advantage of the steam room, sauna, and Hammam amenities. We felt totally relaxed, rejuvenated, and ready to explore the city afterward.
The fitness center was impressive, too, but truth be told, we were more interested in lounging at the pool!
dinner delights: night one
Our first dinner at the hotel’s Speakeasy-style namesake restaurant, that was a true culinary adventure. With recommendations from the staff, we started the evening with two delicious cocktails: a refreshing Yuzu Spritz, and a bold Negroni Bianco.
These were perfectly paired with local Burrata and Vitello Tonnato—the creamy cheese with rich flavors that were simply divine.
For mains, we could not resist the Spicy Rigatoni alla Vodka, Meatballs, and Pesto Trofie alla Genovese.
Both dishes were packed with flavor, and we shared bites of each, though I may have hogged the Rigatoni a little! We also indulged in the Crispy Chicken Parmesan and the delicate Branzino Alla’acqua Pazza, which was ever so tasty and light.
To top it all off, we finished with a decadent Hazelnut Semifreddo Ganache. Every bite was a delicious balance of sweet and nutty—definitely one of the best desserts we’ve ever had!
day two: a beachy escape & gourmet evening
The next morning, we decided to take advantage of our access to the Gale Miami Beach Club in South Beach. With complimentary chairs and umbrellas, we spent the day lounging on the sand, basking in the Miami sun.
It was the perfect beach day, made even better by knowing we had this exclusive perk.
That evening, we were so lucky to dine for dinner again at the hotel’s Speakeasy restaurant with a glass of Saperavi Qvevri red wine and a Frizzante Balsamico cocktail to kick the evening off—yum!
For our meal, we shared a succulent 16oz Rib Eye and rich Tagliatelle Bolognese, both cooked to perfection.
We couldn’t resist having the ganache again, and this time we paired it with the hotel’s classic Tiramisu—the perfect sweet ending to the most perfect couple’s vacation.
final thoughts
Our time at the Gale Miami Hotel, although short-lived, was exactly what we needed to escape the hustle and bustle of Toronto. Between the luxurious suite, the indulgent spa, lounging by the pool, the memorable meals, and our relaxing day at the beach, every moment felt special.
Miami’s vibrant energy paired with the Gale’s luxurious touches made it a trip we’ll never forget. For any couple looking to indulge in relaxation, fine dining, excellent hospitality and incredible views, the Gale Miami Hotel is truly a dream destination.
