Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter is hosting the dazzling ‘Garden of Hope’ Fundraiser, coming up on October 24th (6-9PM) at Illuminarium (28 Gristmill Lane, Toronto), an incredible immersive venue.
They’re celebrating 41 years of making a difference, as Ernestine’s has supported over 15,000 women and their families—and counting.
The evening will feature inspiring stories from past clients, beautiful garden-themed decor, performers, passed canapés, cocktails by Valley of Mother of God Gin, and much more!
About the fundraiser
Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter was started by local community members who wanted to help women and children dealing with abuse.
Their ‘Garden of Hope‘ fundraiser is all about keeping that mission alive by raising awareness and supporting women, trans women, trans men, two-spirit, non-binary, and gender-diverse folks who are facing tough times in our community.
This year’s fundraiser is all about celebrating the amazing work Ernestine’s team has done for the community, and it’s sure to leave everyone feeling touched and inspired!
“The Garden of Hope fundraiser is more than an event; it’s a beacon of support for the women, children, and individuals Ernestine’s serves every day. By coming together at the incredible Illuminarium, we create a space for solidarity and impact, ensuring that the funds raised go directly to life-saving services like counselling, housing support, and food security.
The immersive environment of the Illuminarium mirrors the transformative journey of the people we support, making it the perfect place to gather and celebrate hope”
says Sharlene Tygesen, Executive Director at Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter.
