International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate the accomplishments of women, reflect on the progress made towards gender equality, and take action to create a more inclusive world. In Toronto, there are many ways to mark this important day; whether you want to have a self care day, participate in a workshop or activity, or simply spend some quality time with the women in your life.

Sunset Yoga at Hotel X Toronto
March 10th, 2024 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at 10xt0 inside Hotel X Toronto
“Flowing For Our Sisters” is a two-hour yoga fundraising event at 10xt0 that aims to promote women’s empowerment, strength, and inspiration.
The session will incorporate invigorating vinyasa sequence followed by deep stretching and a serene savasana accompanied by a singing bowl sound bath. Taking place on the tennis courts at 10XTO, the class offers a beautiful sunset view as a backdrop, complemented by curated music from DJ Natalie Rivera. Light refreshments will be served, and attendees will also have the opportunity to win a Guerlain Spa treatment!
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter and Library In A Week.

Embrace Feminine Energy at Alter
March 6 at 8pm and March 17th at 5:30pm at Alter
Alter is offering a unique session titled “Embrace Feminine Energy” led by Alter’s Program Director, Queenie Phair, and supported by Somatic Breathwork Coach Zoia Kanovich. This class is tailored for individuals identifying as women, femme-presenting, and non-binary.
The session includes activities such as self-care in the sauna, somatic breath work, and optional cold plunges, all aimed at helping participants relax and reconnect with their feminine energy. After the March 17th class, participants can enjoy beverages from Lake & Oak, a wellness brand specializing in clean, functional superfood teas and lattes.
Sip on This Signature Cocktail From Taline
In tribute to Chef Sebouh of Taline’s late mother, Taline Restaurant is launching a special initiative throughout March. They will be donating proceeds from their signature cocktail, named after Taline, to “Our Lady of Armenia,” an orphanage that held a special place in Taline’s heart.
The Taline cocktail consists of jasmine, kalamansi, kombu, Hoijcha tea, and pistachio. It is garnished with a purple orchid, chosen in homage to Taline’s favorite color and flower. Raise a glass at Taline Restaurant and honour these inspiring women together!
Sip on Wines From Women-Owned Wineries with Abrielle
Abrielle, the latest addition to Toronto’s coastal Mediterranean dining scene, pays homage to women in the world of wine. On their menu, you can find a permanent selection of wines by the glass from wineries owned or operated by women worldwide.
Among the featured selections available by the glass are:

There will be a Woman’s Day Textured Art workshop where you can paint empowering affirmations and transform them into unique textured pieces. Throughout the experience, Dana from Cool To Connect will guide you in fostering deeper connections and meaningful conversations.
Women’s Wellness Pop-Up Shopping Experience
March 10th from 12-3pm at Bisha Hotel Sky Suite (43 floor)
The Bisha Hotel Sky Suite on the 43rd floor will be hosting an event! This will feature a selection of brands founded by women: Lesley Hampton, Mave & Chez, Graydon Skincare, Sije Beauty, and more! While browsing, guests can enjoy complimentary touch-ups at the Glam and Lip Bar, courtesy of Hey Babe Cosmetics.
