Pasta is a love language for some, and you really can’t go wrong with its many variations. Whether you like a white or red sauce, or prefer short pasta shapes to long ones, it’s the perfect meal to enjoy for a date out.
This year, four new pasta spots have opened up around the city! Read on to learn more.
Rita Trattoria
Rita Trattoria is nothing short of a warm, intimate, and vibrant experience. They are based on Jasper Ave, and serve a seasonal and simple menu.
They are also the sister restaurant to some of Edmonton’s other Italian faves, such as Olia and Bar Bricco. So, if you like those spots, you’ll probably find this place worth trying.

Felicità Pasta House
If downtown city vibes aren’t your thing, Felicità Pasta House is the place to go. This is a new neighbourhood pasta spot located in southwest Edmonton that opened in July. The restaurant features a casual and cozy vibe.
The portions here are fair, and the menu is super affordable, with no pasta over $20.

Nero
Nero is the cousin restaurant to local faves Bianco and Rosso. The pasta spot is situated in Edmonton’s historic Molson Building and opened up earlier this May. With its historic space, Nero has blended the character of the building’s past with a warm modern take.
The menu is crafted from fresh seasonal ingredients and designed to spark conversation.

Da Cecot
Da Cecot is the newest pasta spot to open in Edmonton. They are located in Old Strathcona with a comfy vibe and specialize in fresh artisan pasta. The owners are also from Italy and are passionate about the authenticity in their offerings here.
Da Cecot’s menu is simple – a pasta bar and street food eatery. You can dine in or take fresh raw pasta to go for a date night at home instead!
