Another year has come to an end and it’s time to celebrate Halifax! As the clock ticks down to midnight, the city is gearing up for unforgettable celebrations! From special dinners and must-see fireworks displays to champagne showers and live music that will have you dancing the night away, these New Year’s Eve events will help you send off 2023 with a BANG!
Emera Oval Free Event
The Halifax Regional Municipality is hosting their annual free New Year’s Eve celebrations at the Emera Oval. Starting at 11pm, Music Nova Scotia 2023 Entertainer of the Year winner, Rankin MacInnis will headline the main stage followed by Lindsay Misiner, break-dancers, emcees and more!
Free family skate will take place from 10pm-midnight, ending the night off with a midnight fireworks show and DJ.
Oceanstone Seaside Social
Ring in the New Year with some self care pampering at Oceanstone Spa! From 6-10pm on Dec 31st, they will be hosting a Seaside Social event that includes up to 4 hours in the circuit, reception snacks and a sparkling toast at 10pm.
Tickets are $95 per person.
Bowlarama
Start the New Year off with some friendly competition at Bowlarama! Tickets are $75 and include shoe and lane rental or up to five people at any of their locations around HRM.
This makes for a great sober option or family friendly event!
Grafton Street Dinner Theatre
Dinner, dancing AND a show?! What better way to end the year than joining Grafton Street Dinner Theatre at their New Years Eve Gala Event! You will enjoy the performance of their sold out show, Holly Dolly Christmas, a delightful 4 course meal, dancing after the show and sparkling wine with snacks at midnight. Tickets are $115 per person.
The Roxbury
Party at The Roxbury for their New Year’s Eve event! Cover is $10 and they will be handing out free New Years swag, beats blasting all night long and a ball drop with confetti at midnight!
The Lower Deck
Kick of the New Year in true Nova Scotian fashion with a Paul Lamb & Signal Hill party at The Lower Deck! Tickets are $80+ tax and include complimentary hor d’oeuvres, New Year’s party favours and sparkling at midnight. However, seats are limited and on a first come first served basis so make sure to plan early!
Desii Nights / The Dome
Desii Nights & The Dome present a 2023 New Year Bash with DJ A Trix spinning beats all the way from Toronto! There will be two floors of partying, Photo Booth, champagne shower and much more. They promise to be Halifax’s biggest Bollywood New Year Party!
Morris East
If dinner and live music is more your vibe, check out Morris East for a delicious three course dinner and live jazz music by Vlad Sitnokov (Vernon St location), Anthony Rissessco and Doug Sampson (Larry Uteck location). They have also whipped up a special menu for the event that features some of their classic offerings including their famous oven baked pizzas. Tickets are $70 per person.
Have a happy New Year! Remember to plan ahead and be safe if you decide to drink at any event. Halifax Transit is offering free, extended service from 6pm onwards on Dec 31st, in support of M.A.D.D. to ensure everyone gets home safe!
