Events and Festivals Celebrating All Things Pride This Month in Toronto

To make your Pride planning easier, we've rounded up the events you can check out all throughout June to enjoy, celebrate, and support acceptance for everyone.

Pride month is caressing Toronto in a blanket of rainbow and bringing the best vibes to the city! There aren’t many places that do Pride as big and beautiful and we do here, and we’re so excited for all the festivities celebrating people, and love, of all kinds.

To make your Pride planning easier, we’ve rounded up the events you can check out all throughout June to enjoy, celebrate, and support acceptance for everyone.

Distillery District Queen Marketplace

The first-ever Distillery District Queer Marketplace is officially open and running, Toronto! This is a fantastic opportunity to discover incredible local businesses, artisans, and musicians from the 2SLGBTQI+ community who have come together to showcase their extraordinary talents.

Shop and discover unique products from local Queer Businesses such as Herwood Creative, Relaxing Rocco, My Lil Gem, and Our Glowing Hearts.   @relaxingrocco@mylilgem, and @ourglowinghearts. Find featured vendor carts along Gristmill Lane from June 5th to 11th from 3 – 9 pm.

Enjoy live music daily from 5-9pm by local Queer music acts and bands in Trinity Square, make sure to check out Terran McNeely‘s mural created for Pride Toronto, ‘Let it Grow,’ indulge in special Pride-inspired cocktails from Cluny, El Catrin, Madrina, and Pure Spirits, and take a pic under the iconic red heart, now wrapped in rainbow colours at the Parliament St. entrance.

When: Monday June 5th – Sunday June 11th, 2023 – 3pm to 9pm

Click Clack at the Bata Show Museum

The Bata Show Museum is hosting their first-ever Pride Party as an official Cultural Partner of Pride Toronto! “Click Clack at the BSM” includes a performance by Miss Moço, a fashion presentation by Fashion Art Toronto, and music by DJ Sophie Jones. As part of the night, the museum even acquired a pair of heels from Priyanka

Wander through four exhibition spaces to explore the fascinating history of shoes while you party after dark in the incredible architectural award-winning space.

When: Wednesday June 7th – 7pm to 11pm

AGO Pride Extravaganza with Priyanka – SOLD OUT

AGO is celebrating Pride Month with a special one-night-only show by Canada’s own, Priyanka. Opening this special event is the extraordinary Yovska, self-described ‘Drag Plushie of the Underworld’. Expect dance music and arresting visuals during your Friday night!

When: Friday June 9th – 7pm to 9pm
Where: The Art Gallery of Ontario, 317 Dundas Street W., Toronto

Pride Picnic

Grab your best pals, your date, or meet some new friends and loves at this year’s BYOB (bring your own blanket), dog-friendly Pride Picnic at Christie Pits! 

What started as a “Pre-Pride Picnic” for individuals to meet new people and friends before Toronto Pride turned into a beautiful family-friendly queer gathering made by the community for the community. Open to all 2SLGBTQIA + QTBIPOC members and free to attend! 

When: Saturday June 10th – 2pm to 7pm

Where: Christie Pits Park at 750 Bloor St W, Toronto

Queens of Dim Sum Drag Brunch

This epic brunch event is Toronto’s ONLY dim sum drag brunch serving a gag-worthy Asian drag show during it. Featuring the talents of Star, Gei Ping Hohl, Tygr Willy, Sophie Stiquée, Baby Boy Koi, Zi, and DJ Sumation.

When: Sunday June 11th – 12pm

Where: Sky Dragon Chinese Restaurant at 280 Spadina Ave., Toronto

Thorgy Thor & the Thorchestra

Celebrate Pride with TSO! The “Queen of Classical Music” from RuPaul’s Drag Race,Thorgy Thor, is headlining a thrilling show. Be mesmerized by her fabulosity and virtuosity on the violin as she slays everything from Mozart to Madonna in this must-see symphonic spectacular.

Queer East Social

Cafe Zuzu is proud to launch a new monthly Queer East Social initiative with a kickoff event on Thursday, June 15th! Their goal is to bring together local Queer & Trans organizations to mingle with like-minded individuals and support Queer owned and/or operated businesses while having fun!

With free access to the following, you can enjoy live illustrations of you by Chris Nevin, a polish and hand massage station by Majesty’s Pleasure, local Queer DJ, sapsucker station, and Gelateria ZUZU.

There will also be an awesome food and drinks menu available for purchase.

When: Thursday June 15th – 6pm to 10pm

Muslim Pride Toronto

Muslim Pride TO is a community-led hybrid festival creating opportunities for queer and trans Muslims in the GTA and beyond! This year, the festival makes its in-person debut at Buddies this year!  Featuring a diverse lineup of queer and trans Muslim artists in burlesque, DJing, drag, live music, spoken word, and more.

When: Thursday June 15th – Starts at 6pm
Where: Buddies in Bad Times Theatre at 12 Alexander St., Toronto

Night at the AQueerium 

On June 16, watch the aquarium transform into an underwater rainbow wonderland filled with dazzling lights, dance floors, drag performances, music and of course FIN-omenal cocktails! 

With full access to all aquarium exhibits, you and your date can get up close and personal with sharks, jellyfish, and even pet a stingray! But keep your eyes peeled because you might spot some of Toronto’s most stunning drag queens and kings making their way through the building.

Taking the stage this year are drag superstars Juice Boxx and Tiffany Boxx, who will be joined by one of Toronto’s best drag kings, Kreme Inakuchi! Up on the DJ stage, DJ Sandy Watts and DJ Valeroo will keep you dancing all night long! And taking the stage to dance the night away will be Milkshake and Dragon Noir.

Pride Pool Party with Sugar & Spice

Get ready for the hottest event of the summer as Pride’s legendary pool party returns this year in a brand new location! Soak up the sun, show off your sexiest swimwear, and enjoy a night of sizzling drag performances by local legends. 

Headlining this year’s event are none other than Sugar and Spice, the TikTok-famous twins who set the world on fire during their time on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15. 

When: Friday June 16th – 7pm to 1am
Where: Grand Bizarre Supper Club at 15 Saskatchewan Rd, Toronto

Kimpton Saint George’s Perfectly Queer Workout

Celebrate Pride at Kimpton Saint George’s Perfectly Queer Workout Class! Join Rory Bray and Nariko Chaffe for a charity workout class benefitting The 519, a city agency committed to the health, happiness and full participation of the LGBTQ2S communities of Toronto. Healthy refreshments will be provided to fuel the workout!

Tickets are pay what you canReserve your spot here.
Donations range from $10-$30. 100% of sales from this event will be donated to The 519. The Kimpton Saint George will also be matching total funds raised up to $500.

BACKYARD at Stackt Market – Pride Celebration

The second edition of Stackt Market’s BACKYARD festival series is just around the corner with a massive Pride celebration on June 17! This Pride party is free to attend and features:

  • A vendor market with 30+ vendors curated by Toronto Queer Market ⁠
  • A DJ day party by PEP RALLY with a line-up of performances ⁠
  • ISO Radio music showcase ⁠
  • A Coachella vs Glastonbury Drag Festival by Dooley Noted Productions

You can also find a face paint station, ice cream samples, food specials, immersive installations and so much more!

When: Saturday June 17th, 2023 – Noon to 10pm
Where: Stackt Market at 28 Bathurst St, Toronto

Festival Weekend

Toronto’s Pride Festival is more than just the vibrant parade that snakes up Yonge Street, Gerrard and Bloor in the Church-Wellesley Village; the whole month of 2SLGBTQ+ programming is capped off with a celebratory array of floats, costumes and revelry at the Trans March, Dyke March and Pride Parade!

The weekend’s calendar is packed with a street fair showcasing 2SLGBTQ+ artists, pool parties, performance art, Bi+ Pride happenings, and the Blockorama, Black Pride and Blackness Yes events that celebrate all queer Canadians.

When: Friday June 23rd to 25th
Where: Church-Wellesley Village

Candyland: Beach Club at Night

CANDYLAND is a queer party for 2SLGBTQIA women that includes trans, nonbinary folks and allies at one of Toronto’s hottest beach club venues. This huge party features two pools, four incredible DJs, mind-blowing performances and so much more at this real-life candyland.

When: Friday June 23rd – 9pm
