Sometimes, we all need a break from the city life and to step into something more relaxed and quaint. The beautiful part about Collingwood, is that its quaintness wrapped in luxury. Here were some of the highlights from my recent trip to Collingwood and where I would suggest you visit.

If you’re looking for a gorgeous boutique hotel filled with history, comfort, and style, then book your stay at The Dorchester Hotel. They have 30 rooms which aim to celebrate the cultural heritage of Downtown Collingwood while adding a touch of modern flare. The rooms feature full kitchens/kitchenettes, soaking tubs, record players, and beautiful attention to stylistic detail.

Something to look forward to: In 2023 they will be opening the Lobby Restaurant in the hotel so guests can dine right downstairs!

3. The Lowdown

This adorable cocktail bar is serving up some seriously delicious food and drinks that you’re bound to enjoy! They are an Asian fusion restaurant which utilizes unique flavours with a modern twist. They are known for their bao buns and we can confirm, they were to die for!

Some of the standouts we had were the K-town birria bao, the khao soi, and the smoked salmon sushi bowl. I also tried the K-pop cocktail and it was delicious!

If you’re looking for a fun time, then make your way to Side Launch! This brewery serves its own crafted beer and you can enjoy it fresh from the tap. They craft unique beers with the best ingredients so you know you’re in for a real treat.

Sip on a cold one, listen to live music, and play some games while laughing with your friends. Not to mention that your furry friends are welcome to join you too!
