From Vegan Wing Night to Yoga & Movie Night, here’s what’s up this week in YYC.


1. Vegan Wing Night
July 17th from 5pm-10pm

Calling all vegans: you’re going to want to get in on this one. Every Tuesday and Saturday from 5pm-close, join The Street Eatery for Vegan Wing Night. The house made seitan wings come in 6 different flavours including BBQ, Gochujang, Spicy BBQ, Cajun, Thai Chili and Hot.


2. July Cats & Yoga

Switch up your yoga practice with Cats & Yoga at the Regal Cat Cafe. Known as the fuzziest yoga in town, they’ll guide you through a one hour gentle Hatha Yoga session – after class, stay for some kitty playtime as you sip on a complimentary loose leaf tea or brewed coffee. Remember to show up in yoga attire and bring your own mat.


3. Bridgeland Riverside Farmers Market
July 19th from 330pm-730pm

Come out and support some incredible local vendors every Thursday until August 5th. Set up outside the community hall, you’ll find some delicious goodies like homemade jam, fresh produce and baked bread. There are also activities to keep the whole family entertained.

4. Fiestaval Latin Festival
July 20th from 11am-9pm
Olympic Plaza, 228 8 Ave SE

Explore this multicultural arts and entertainment festival that highlights Latin American culture. Taking place in the heart of downtown Calgary, there will be live music, dance performances and local vendors throughout the course of the weekend.


5. Yoga & Movie Night

July 20th from 730pm-11pm
Junction 9 Yoga & Pilates, 919 9 Ave SE

Yoga and movie nights are back at Junction 9 this summer. Join them each month until September for a unique rooftop series. July’s session features Jilaine Beddoe and Sportcheck.  Get ready to sweat it out over a 60 minute yoga class and cozy up with your date after to watch a movie on the big screen. Guests are encouraged to bring their mat, a blanket and some cozy pillows. The cafe will be fully open and popcorn will be provided.
