3. Spanish Tapas Cooking Class

This class will explore the creative world of tapas and what it has become. Using only the freshest ingredients, you will learn how to prepare, compose and present an assortment of tasty bites that will get your friends talking and wanting more. This class includes a recipe book, a Spanish-style diner with wine sampling or a non-alcoholic beverage, and a customized kitchen utensil to take home.
4. Locked Library

It’s easy to get lost in a good book — but what if you had to escape from one? The new Central Library will be hosting the latest edition of their one-night escape event, Locked Library this Friday. Come explore the stunning new library after hours. Your team will have 2 hours to work together, solve puzzles, and escape. Proceeds from the event will support the Calgary Public Library Foundation.
5. The Blue Gala
February 1st at 730pm
Martha Cohen Theatre, 215 8 Ave SE
Back by popular demand, the third annual Blue Gala returns this Friday. Hosted by the H/W School of Ballet and its principals, Yukichi Hattori, Tara Williamson and Galien Johnston-Hattori, this performance is guaranteed to lift your spirits with the beauty of dance following the melancholy brought on by Blue Monday. Featuring a variety of solos and collaborations, prepare to watch renowned artists from across the globe perform ballet, contemporary, hip hop, ballroom and tap. After the show, stay for the gala reception where guests can mingle with the performers, sample wine and hors d’oeuvres and peruse the silent auction. Dress up in your best blue outfit – this is a performance not to be missed.
