1. YOUth Riot Performance Showcase!

Over the past 3 months, 
Alberta Playwrights’ Network has facilitated a space for industry professionals and guest artists to work with LGBTQ+ youth by helping them tell their stories through the medium of playwriting and theatrical storytelling.  The program helps to ignite creativity in teens and provides valuable tools to foster confidence, acceptance and positive self-image. These talented individuals are ready to show you their voice on May 14th. Join them as they show you the culmination of their work – it’s a time to celebrate, inspire and break the status quo.

3. Top Drop Wine Festival

This Tuesday, join us and Mealshare for the annual grand tasting featuring dozens of international, terroir-focused wineries, craft breweries, cideries, and the people behind them! Wine samples are free to taste upon entry with a valid ticket and donations from the event will go to help grow the Mealshare program, which will in turn help provide meals for youth and children in need.

4. Alberta Spotlight: Kent Sangster’s Obsessions Octet

The National Music Centre is proud to present Kent Sangster’s Obsessions Octet with opener, La Mosca, as part of its Alberta Spotlight series on May 18th at Studio Bell. Renowned saxophonist Kent Sangster brings together some of Edmonton’s brightest musicians to create an elegant blend of classical, tango and jazz. The group will perform works by Astor Piazzolla, Chucho Valdes, Cole Porter and a collection of Sangster’s original compositions.

5. EV Junction
