Rediscover the magic of the city through the Best of Calgary Ideas Week labs. The events run from May 22nd to June 3rd and take place at various times and locations around the city. The calendar of events includes a World Wide Living Library Dinner, A Build Your Own Terrarium Class with Plant Shop, CMLC Community Day, Build Your Own Donut at Jelly Modern, Photo Walk and Workshop with Neil Zeller and more.
2. Enjoy the Specials at Home and Away

There’s a new reason to celebrate every day at Home and Away. Bring your date down to enjoy their daily specials from Monday to Sunday – think $3 fried chicken, $4 beers, 1/2 price wine, $3 tacos and more. This will quickly become your go-to spot for all the good things.
3. Speed Dating (Singles 25+)

Put down your phone and join us for Speed Dating. Each event has 20 single women and 20 single men to connect with. The women stay in the same seat and the men rotate. Each date will last from 4-5 minutes. You can practice your flirting skills and game while meeting new people. We collect your matches at the end of the night and will contact you with your matches the following day. This is so you don’t have the awkward phone number exchange at the end of the conversation. 4. Raise Hope 2018

Raise Hope is an event that supports the non-profit child search organization, Missing Children Society of Canada (MCSC). Taking place at the Calgary Petroleum Club, the evening will include dinner as well as live and silent auctions and entertainment.
5. Indulge Marda Loop

On May 26th, bring your homies under a big-top tent for Indulge, one of Marda Loop’s most delicious events. Sample food and wine from local merchants and sip craft beers from some of your favourite breweries. Partake in a silent auction donated by fantastic local vendors and dance the night away to music frm a DJ and live band. There will also be a complimentary shuttle bus service to various stops around the neighbourhood and an intimate lounge where you can mingle the night away. Proceeds from this event help support community recreational programs that bring children, youth and adults together.
