From Spring Blooms Workshop to YYCFoodTrucks Father’s Day Weekend, here’s what’ up this weekend in YYC.


1. Spring Blooms Workshop
June 15th from 7pm-9pm

Junction 9 is teaming up with Blumery Floral to celebrate sunny days with their first ever floral workshop. Take part in an evening of bouquet designing and building with some of the best in the floral industry. You’ll build your own bright spring bouquet filled with beautiful peonies, roses, eucalyptus and seasonal flowers in this two-hour workshop.


2. VegFest Calgary 2018

June 16th from 10am-5pm

Calgary’s second annual vegan lifestyle festival returns this Saturday bigger and better than ever. Enjoy this dedicated vegan festival featuring powerful industry speakers, talented musicians, cooking demos, local businesses, and of course, delicious food. New this year, they’ll have DJ’s and a vegan-certified beer garden.


3. Neighbourhood Day BBQ
June 16th from 11am-3pm

This Saturday, come check out Cibo’s brand new Centre Street location. They’ll be hosting a complimentary barbecue from 11am ’til 3pm where you can expect tasty burgers, porchetta sandwiches and more delicious bites from the kitchen. They’ll also be sampling samples of their collaboration beer with Mill Street Calgary Brewpub – Gold Yeller.

4. Beer, Barbecue and Butchery
June 16th and 23rd at 1pm

Sunterra is celebrating Pork Month with special classes in their social kitchen. On June 16th and 23rd, they’ll be hosting Beer, Barbecue and Butchery. This tasty class includes one free drink and all your favourite Sunterra Farms pork dishes like red oak bacon caesar salad, slow cooked pork belly with drip pan potatoes, chipotle and fennel ribs and pork chops. Our mouths are watering just thinking about it. In case you can’t make it to that one, have no fear – they host several classes a month and will have a special Father’s Day lunch and Bacon Bits class for your little ones on June 30.

5. YYCFoodTrucks Father’s Day Weekend
June 16th and 17th from 11am-7pm

Bring dad to Murdoch Park this Father’s Day Weekend. Kick back, listen to live entertainment and spend some QT with Pops while you enjoy delicious eats from our favourite four-wheeled culinary friends. There will be a pop-up village by Market Collective, beer gardens, puppy-watching and plenty of fun activities to look forward to.
