1. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in Concert
May 18th and 19th at 730pm with an additional 2pm showing on Saturday

On May 18th and 19th, the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra will be bringing Harry Potter to life. Listen to the Calgary Philharmonic perform John Williams’ iconic score as you watch the film that started it all in high-definition. This event will have you bewitched by Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s world all over again.


2. Royal Wedding Watch Party

May 19th from 930am-1230pm

You’re invited to celebrate the Royal Wedding between Prince Harry of Wales and Miss Meghan Markle this Saturday. Slip on your best garden party attire and head to Royale to watch BBC’s media coverage of the wedding. Guests should expect a full red-carpet experience, including a photographer, tasty libations and traditional British food. There will also be live commentary by Katrina Olson-Mattahed, Calgary International Film Festival director and Master of Ceremonies, Jimmy-Lee Vennard, Estate Butler at Azuridge Estate Hotel. They’ll have ‘Oscar-style’ gift bags for you to take home and an after-party reception too.

5. Victoria Day at Granary Road

Bring the whole family to Granary Road to celebrate Victoria Day. They have a full day of activities lined up including a Drum Circle, Ulmer Irish Dancers, and a Pound Fitness Class. You can also try your hand out a few carnival games and take a photo with the hashtag #royal@granary to be entered to win a prize.
