1. Lewiston’s Bday #2

Lewiston’s BDAY #2 happens on May 25th. Join in on this special event to remember a little lion that left a big legacy. This will be an opportunity to raise money for Spinal Muscular Astrophy (SMA) as well as a night of celebrating, memory making, and dancing. This event is, of course, in support of a great cause but guests can also look forward to complimentary bevvies and small bites, a silent auction from local vendors, a live ‘hot date’ auction, great music and an amazing and powerful environment.

2. RISE UP: The Series Pt 2

This Saturday, our friends at Barre Body Studio are hosting another incredible event at The Palace Theatre. Join them for an afternoon of inspiration, movement, and connection. There will be opening remarks and a barre class from Marlo Brausse, owner of Barre Body Studio, as well as an opportunity to mingle with other like-minded and inspiring women. Bring your best friend, your mom, husband, boyfriend, whoever – all are welcome.

3. Indulge Marda Loop

This Saturday, come enjoy one of Marda Loop’s tastiest festivals. Bring your squad under a big-top for a fun-filled evening. Sample food and wine from local merchants, sip craft beers from some of your favourite breweries, enjoy a silent auction with prizes donated by local vendors and dance the night away to beats from a live DJ and band. There will be a complimentary shuttle bus service to various stops around the neighbourhood and an intimate lounge where you can mingle the night away. Proceeds from this event help support community recreational programs that bring children, youth and adults together.

5. Build Your Own Doughnut + Behind the Scenes of Modern Jelly

We ‘donut’ know what we would do without tasty doughnuts. This Sunday, attend an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Modern Jelly Doughnuts as part of the Best of Calgary Ideas Week labs. The tour will be followed by a lesson on how to make your own delicate, sweet treats. Whatever flavour gets you going, Calgary’s best doughnut shop will help you create it so it can be then deliciously demolished. Tea and coffee as well as your own custom doughnut will be included.
