From Table for Two to CSSC Beach Volleyball Tournament, here’s what’s up this weekend in YYC.

1. Table for Two

May 31st from 6:30pm-9:30pm

Get your hands dirty in this exclusive cooking experience for which we have designed a menu with both of you in mind. Working side by side, combine your talents by plating your own dinner to be paired with some carefully chosen wines — and don’t worry, we’ll take care of the dishes.

This class includes a recipe booklet, a three-course meal with wine sampling or a non-alcoholic beverage, and a customized kitchen utensil to take home!

2. King Dylan Album Release @ The Rec Room

International award winning artist King Dylan is releasing his new album, “In The Darkness, We Can Shine” on vinyl and is throwing a major release party! He’s invited his friends Orbit The Fox and Hayden Funk to kick off the night.

3. Cheese Making 
June 1st from 10:30am-1:30pm

Milks, starters, coagulants and salt – get the basics and understand how to transform these ingredients into complex edible delights.

This workshop is a combination of hands-on and demonstrations on the basics of cheese making. Some of the recipes include ricotta, creme fraiche, cultured butter, mozzarella, and paneer. This class includes a recipe booklet, light meal and a customized kitchen utensil to take home.

4. Lilac Festival 
June 2nd from 10am-6pm
The festival takes place along the 13 blocks of 4th Street (between 13th Avenue South and Elbow Drive) in the Beltline and Mission neighborhoods.

Each spring, thousands of attendees come out to enjoy the unique and pedestrian friendly 4th Street venue, offering an array of musical talent, artisan vendors, quality entertainment and some perfect people watching.

At the Lilac Festival, there is an activity made for all ages. This could mean a jump in the bouncer for the kids, discovering a great new band, choosing a perfect summer patio or searching for a trendy fashion; there is no shortage of things happening.

5. CSSC Beach Volleyball Tournament  
June 1st from 9am-7pm

Escape for a day to the sun and sand, without leaving the city! Our CSSC Beach Volleyball Tournaments are the place to be, with on-site beer gardens, music pumping, and more. Choose between co-ed 4’s or 6’s in a variety of divisions. Whether teams are experienced or just getting into the sport, you will be sure to have a good time. After the event, all championship teams and MVPs will be presented with championship shirts and awards.
