1. Calgary International Beerfest

Calling all beer lovers : The 2018 Calgary International Beerfest returns to YYC on May 4th and 5th. As Western Canada’s largest beer festival, prepare to get educated on all things beer related while sampling hundreds of premium beers, both domestic and international. 2. Barre West Grand Opening Party

On May 5th, Barre West will be celebrating the opening of their flagship studio with an awesome party. 3. Mother’s Day Brunch

Join The Ace Class at Calcutta Cricket Club on May 5th for the first edition of their Mother’s Day brunch featuring Jessica Janzen, Jodi Tilley, and Kristin Hallett. These incredible women will be sharing an intimate dialogue as they interview one another on all the things being a mom entails. From the lows to the highs, at the end of the day, it’s all worth it with the rewards of motherhood. As part of the programming, there will also be music starring the melodic vocals of Lynn Maric, Miranda Krogstad with YYSpeak and live sketches by Rachael Meckling for purchase.

4. Splash of Red Masquerade

On May 5th, you’re invited to join HIV Community Link for the Splash of Red Masquerade as they transform the Fairmont Palliser for the evening. Enjoy masquerade magic complemented by live music, drag shows & amazing entertainment from Bass Bus as you help raise awareness for important issues surrounding HIV. Come dressed in a Splash of Red, masques are encouraged.

5. Etsy: Made in Canada – Calgary Spring 2018

Etsy: Made in Canada hosts their inaugural Spring market this Sunday. Come shop from 46 amazing vendors including Ambrosial Cheesecake, Dixie and Twine, Friday Sock Co, Oxeye Floral Co, Stevie and Bean, The Lonely Avocado, and more. Family Squeezed Lemonade, Family Dogs, and Sticky Ricky’s will be on site serving up some good eats too. Admission is $3 (cash only) for adults and 50% of all proceeds will be donated to the ARF Alberta – Animal Rescue Foundation.
