The AEMCON 10X Beat Battle returns for the 2nd year to encourage networking, inspiration and reward a winner with $1000.  Beat makers will be judged on: Originality, Fidelity, Creativity, and Musicality.  16 competitors, Featuring Junia-T (Toronto) as guest judge, There will be a showcase by Junia-T, and ‘Sampler cafe’.

 

50 Shades Of Spirits

Spirits come in a variety of tints and tones, from crystal clear vodkas to rich brown whiskies! Hues vary due to distilling barrel type, flavourful additives, and plant of origin. Tonight, we’re toasting to all shades of spirits – whether they’re white, lite, or brown! Featuring local distilled spirits and some of our favourite imports, this night is sure to colour your palate with flavor.

National Music Centre After Hours

NMC’s popular late-night series returns with performances by Los Angeles beatmaker Daedelus, Montreal multi-instrumentalist and producer extraordinaire Ouri, eclectic house and disco selector Dane, Toronto-based experimental electronic performer Korea Town Acid, and Nick Middleton (The Funk Hunters, Westwood Recordings) will perform a DJ set as The Outlier. In collaboration with AEMCON, and part of the NMC: ON program, visitors can expect an immersive experience including pop-up bars, a silent disco, interactive installations, and music experiments. Bring your most comfortable dancing shoes as NMC turns down the lights and turns up the tunes. This will not your typical night at the museum.
