1. Cowboys Blue Ball

Cowboys is hosting their second annual Blue Ball this Friday. The night is set to be a men’s health comedy show in support of Calgary’s Prostate Cancer Centre and Women for Men’s Health. Hysterical comedians from LA will be joining in to help raise some laughs, cheers, and funds for Men’s Health Awareness Month. Expect appearances from Pete Giovine, Steve Simeone, Steve Rannazzisi, and Bret Ernst.

2. Studio Bell After Hours: TONTO Edition ft. A Tribe Called Red

The National Music Centre’s popular late-night series returns this month with special headlining performances by A Tribe Called Red, Smalltown DJs, DJ Heather, and more. The special edition of After Hours will be part of a week-long celebration of monster synth The Original New Timbral Orchestra (aka TONTO). Bring your most comfortable dancing shoes as NMC turns down the lights and turns up the tunes. With pop-up bars, interactives, music experiments and other activities celebrating TONTO, this is not your typical night at the museum.

5. A Twist on Sushi Cooking Class

They’ll be teaching you the fundamental techniques of making sushi with an array of local ingredients that will spark the artistic side within you and keep you rolling. Recipes include a pulled pork and lemongrass sushi roll with barbecue soy dip, egg salad roll with sesame seeds and cilantro, crab salad with jalapeno, and caramelized pineapple sushi with mango dip. This class includes a recipe booklet, a sushi style dinner with wine sampling, and your own sushi mat to take home.
