Packwood Grand
The 2nd annual Packwood Grand is set to be a true celebration of old world leisure and sophistication. Beat Drop @ The Coca-Cola Stage
Beat Drop is Canada’s premier music production & DJing school. The Beat Drop team has created a, one of a kind “edu-tainment” performance showcase which, while highlighting the talents of the instructors and team, is also wildly entertaining and a spectacle you are not soon to forget. Featuring the unique talents of 2014 Canadian Redbull Thre3style champion & Beat Drop’s head DJ instructor: DJ C-Sik, the Beat Drop Stampede showcase is sure to impress.

– JULY 3 –

Stampede Parade
The atmosphere in Calgary on Parade day is electric. This city drops everything and rallies together. The parade kicks off the week of denim at work, advil and gatorade in the mornings, and too many good times to remember. Get downtown early and get a good spot on the curb – Show starts at 7:30.

Kiesza @ The Coca-Cola Stage
Calgary’s hometown girl is hitting The Coca-Cola Stage at 9pm and will no doubt bring the house down with her beats, dancing, and fashion. The hit single, “Hideaway” off of her debut album, “Sound of a Woman” has gone platinum in the UK and Canada since its release in October. She has also won three Junos and performed on a number of shows and at music festival such as Coachella. We can’t wait to see this gorgeous powerhouse do what she does best.

Brett Kissel @ The Coca-Cola Stage
At only 23 years old, Alberta born, Brett Kissel is killin it in country music. The talented singer/songwriter has released two independent albums, signed with Garth Brooks’ management, and become the youngest Canadian Country Music nominee ever. On top of that, he’s won a Juno award, two CCMA awards, and three ACMA awards.

– JULY 5 –

Vance Joy @ The Coca-Cola Stage 
Check out Vance Joy at the Coca-Cola Stage while you can – This will be his only Calgary tour date this year. Vance has sold out headlining tours in Australia and around the world, and performed at major music festivals like Bonaroo, Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, and Osheaga. His first single “Riptide” has been on our playlist for months and we’re stoked to see him perform live.

– JULY 6 –

Lights @ The Coca-Cola Stage 
This Canadian home girl has been making electro pop beats since she was just 15, and she’s not slowing down any time soon. – This year, Lights won the Juno award for “Pop Album of the Year” with “Little Machines”. Calgary, get ready to be serenaded by incredible melodies, and party with sick synth beats. Monday doesn’t stand a chance.

OK Go @ The Coca-Cola Stage 
If you’re not familiar with OK Go’s music, you’ve likely at least seen one of their outstanding viral music videos. Think – the treadmill one – that accompanied the song, “Here It Goes Again”. This creative group of four guys has built a unique sound in the last 15 years, and they’re bringing a guaranteed great show to Calgary for Stampede this year. If you haven’t seen an OK Go video since the treadmills, we highly recommend you go down that YouTube rabbit hole – you won’t be sorry.

Blackjack Billy @ Nashville North
If you’re looking for a foot stompin’, Redneck Rock experience this Stampede – These boys are bringing it hard. Based right out of Nashville, they know how country is done right. It is impossible not to have an unreal time at their show, so get down to Nashville North before that line wraps around the tent.

– JULY 9 –

Miranda lambert @ The Saddledome
This girl knows how to write and deliver a fierce country song. Get your girls together and get down to the Saddledome to celebrate Stampede right – Full-on country girl style.

– JULY 10 –

Blake Shelton @ The Saddledome
Blake Shelton’s music is a staple on any country play list, and he’ll be here just in time for Stampede. He’ll be performing the night after his badass wife Miranda – Back to back country royalty – We’re in.

– JULY 11 –

Jason Aldean @ The Saddledome
Jason Aldean is the real deal in country music – Dirt Road Anthem – Need we say more? Don’t miss this one for an epic addition your Stampede experience.

– JULY 12 –

Stevie Wonder @ The Saddledome
Stevie Wonder is on another level of classic artists that you must check off your bucket list. This concert promises to be a sing along of epic proportions – “Superstition”, and “Isn’t She Lovely” alone are reason enough to pick up some tickets ASAP.

– JULY 13 –

Shakespeare by the Bow – June 23 – Aug 16
Escape to Prince’s Island Park this July for a little Shakespeare by the Bow. This is the perfect setting for a date of any kind. Performances are all pay-what-you-will – No ticket required – which makes this an easy addition to your summer calendar. Whether or not you loved Shakespeare in high school, this event does not disappoint. Prince’s Island Park, supporting local arts, and an ideal addition to any summer date – This one is a no brainer.

THE OUTSIDERS – Run With The Homies
Time to run off Stampede, Outsiders! Come out for a social n’ Sweaty run. It’s Free. It’s Fun. It’s a Run. Cyclepalooza 2015 – Bike Polo
Have you ever wanted to play Bike Polo? – Didn’t even know it was a thing? – Well now you do, and guaranteed you’ll want to play. This co-ed game sounds like a crazy-fun time and all you have to do is show up with a bike. Check out the site for more info.

Cyclepalooza 2015 – Art on Wheels – July 14-16
Cyclepalooza presents this crazy cool event starting at 8:30pm. Bike the city and see the amazing art that Calgary has to offer – For free. Check out the new downtown cycle network, and explore East Village, Downtown, and Kensington on the way to each display.

Cyclepalooza 2015 – Funkadelic Radio Ride
Bring a radio, bring a bike, dress funky, and get ready for a leisurely ride with dance breaks. This incredible idea will be happening from 7:30pm-9pm.

– JULY 18 –

Rock the Walk 5 @ East Village
The East Village knows how to do summer in Calgary right – Rock the Walk is back, from 11am-6pm this Saturday. This “mini music festival” will be a lively outdoor event filled with music, food trucks, and vendors – Pretty much the perfect July Saturday.

– JULY 19 –

Market Collective – July 17-19 @ The Chinese Cultural Centre
If you haven’t been to a Market Collective yet, now’s your chance. Admission is only $5 for the entire weekend, and it’s the best opportunity around to get your hands on the best local goods. There will be everything from art and jewelry, to food trucks and apparel. Don’t miss out on this peachy keen Calgary event.

Plank Mondays @ Cleaver
Order up the plank at Cleaver on Mondays and feast on its gourmet fixings like rotisserie chicken, steak, fries, salad, and more – And then roll the dice. If lady luck is on your side, you’ll roll evens and enjoy your plank on the house. If not – better luck next time.

Pop-Up Picnic
Working for the summer doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy the sunshine and have fun – At least on your lunch breaks. So head over to the John J Bowlen Green space for games, live music, and food vendors this Wednesday. This is a free event, and you can even daydream about running away with the circus with some help from the Green Fools Theatre Circus Instructors. They will be hanging out at the picnic and teaching circus skills.

Calgary Folk Music Festival – July 23 – 26
Calgary Folk Music Festival is back with four days of live music and events to make your July that much sweeter. With a mix of genres, and over 70 artists from 14 countries, this festival is for everyone. Check out the full lineup and make a game plan so you don’t miss your favorites.

Milky Way Nights @ Rothney Astrophysical Observatory – July 23-25
This is a stellar date idea – sorrynotsorry. If you’ve never seen the sky through an observatory telescope, you’re in for a treat. Check out our beautiful summer sky up close with late night observing hours that are open to the public.

Pet-A-Palooza @ Eau Claire Market – July 25-26
We love our pets here in YYC, and we love an event that allows us to bring our furry friends along for the fun. Pet-A-Palooza will feature up to 85 exhibitors, free teeth cleaning, cool down stations, photo lounges, local vets, trainers, and daycare providers, and of course, treats. Did we mention that there will also be performances by some pretty talented pups? This is going to be a fun one – Check out the brilliant site for more details.

Voices in the Village @ East Village
Every Sunday in July and August, the East Village will have local artists performing on the EVEC deck from 1pm-3pm. Local artists, Sunday East Village bike ride, maybe some ice cream – Sounds like a perfect Sunday afternoon to us.

Calgary International Blues Festival – July 27 – Aug 2
Sometimes you just need to chill with a drink, and a little blues. July is winding down, we’re a little partied out, and the Blues Festival is in town just in time. Take in all the soulful greatness that the festival has to offer over the next seven days – You will not be disappointed.

It’s half way to the weekend and time to start acting like it. Cibo’s pizza happy hour, featuring $5 za from 3-5pm is too good to pass up. Happy hour also includes wine and Millstreet draught specials – Although we highly suggest not skipping over the brilliant cocktail menu. Skip out of work a little early, and the week is all down hill from here.

Thursday Night Live @ WURST
The weekend basically starts today – Kick it off right with live music in the beer hall at 8pm, halfy hour from 3pm-5pm, and $5 tall boys of Coors Banquet – Happy weekend indeed.

Calgary Fringe Festival – July 31 – Aug 8
It’s been a long, wonderful month of festivals and fairs and it’s not over yet. Calgary Fringe Festival is back with its famous brand of uncensored theatre to bring us into August.
