November always feels like that weird limbo time after Halloween where it is still a bit to early for Christmas and the weather is getting cold. We know that this time of year can be hard to plan fun date nights so we took the planning into our own hands for you. These are 8 date ideas you can do this November in and around Edmonton.

For over 45 years, Farmfair International has been one of Canada’s top agricultural shows and Alberta’s largest beef cattle show.

Exhibitors from across western Canada, gather in Edmonton each November to showcase their top livestock genetics to purebred producers, local ranchers and international buyers.

2. PBR Canada National Finals

November 12 – November 13, 2021
Rogers Place – 10220 104 Avenue Northwest, Edmonton, Alberta

Watch the best cowboys battle it out in the dirt at Rogers Place to win the Canadian Title! This is the first time this event has ever been in Edmonton! Fans will witness exhilarating 8-second rides and wrecks throughout the action-packed event as the PBR’s courageous riders face off against their 2,000-pound, animal-athlete opponents.

3. Neon Museum

The Neon Sign Museum, the first of its kind in Canada, features a collection of functional historic signs that tell a story about Edmonton’s neon past. The City has restored and installed all the signs on the east wall of the TELUS building and the south wall of the Mercer Warehouse building on 104 Street and 104 Avenue.

Have dinner downtown and finish up your date night with a stroll along the museum street for some epic night pics!

Runs until January 2nd 2022.

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet; this exhibition is a maximalist tribute to colour. This exhibition is organized by the Art Gallery of Alberta and curated by Catherine Crowston and Lindsey Sharman. Presented as part of the Poole Center of Design. 

A feast for your eyes is the ROYGBIV exhibit. With touchable pieces this experience is one you have to see with your own eyes.

5. FIFA World Cup

November 12 & 16 – Commonwealth Stadium – 11000 Stadium Road, Edmonton, Alberta

The FIFA 2021 Qualifiers are coming to Edmonton! These matches determine who will be competing in the 2022 FIFA World Cup™ in Qatar.

November 19th – January 8th – Castrol Raceway

Get the holiday season started off with a trip through the drive through experience of The Magic of Lights! The Canadian Tire Magic of Lights features 2.5 kilometers of over 1.5 MILLION festive and vibrant LED-lighted displays celebrating the joy of the holidays. The magical route is overflowing with spectacular light displays and animations.

7. All Is Bright Festival

November 20, 2021 – 124 Street & 108 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta

Glow the night away on 124th street with your sweetheart! The main festival site is located on 124th Street between 107th Ave and 109th Ave, with the main stage in Helen Nolan Park. From 4:00pm – 8:00pm enjoy an evening of music and celebration, and the dramatic light-up ceremony! Grab a drink at the beverage gardens and enjoy some treats over the fire!
