The 32nd annual Alzheimer Calgary Walk & Run is back on October 12, 2025 for the ultimate active date idea supporting our local community and a great cause, raising money and awareness for those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Racers can close out race season by running a 5km or 10km “fun run,” but if running is not quite your thing participants can still make a difference by walking 1km or 5km in support of the cause.
The event is packed with tons of family-friendly activities, too, like a free photo booth (hello, main character energy!), YYC-favourite food trucks, live music from The Frontiers, a postcard making station, and even more for the cutest date idea all for a good cause!
If you don’t want to participate in running nor walking, but still want to support this cause, you can still get involved by becoming a volunteer for the event – BONUS: you could even make volunteering a weekly or monthly date night!

The event has already raised $230,837, and they need your help to hit their goal! Bring your highest energy, come join the community and show some love. This event will be taking place on October 12, 2025 at Prince’s Island Park.

- Walk & Run Kickoff: 10:00AM – 11:00AM
- In-Person Registration (registration is still open online here): 8:30AM – 9:15AM
- Welcome & Warm-Up: 9:30AM – 10AM
