So, if you’re looking to experience all those vibes, Albertans have a destination right in our backyard to dive into a haunted, and hauntingly beautiful getaway.

The Haunting of Banff Springs

Legend has it that in the 1920s, a bride tragically fell down to her death on her wedding day at that very spot and people inside and around the hotel have claimed to still see her lingering around and dancing in her burnt gown to this day.

There’s also a myth that a ghostly bellman named Sam Macauley still helps guests before vanishing into thin air.

Many who have stayed at the hotel report that they hear footsteps near the room of 873, and some report speaking to a bride while there was no wedding happening the weekend of the guest’s stay. Even hotel staff can confirm the dozen of paranormal reports each year!

Do these stories intrigue you and your date? Then consider this your next staycation getaway.
