This Annual Fall Fundraiser in Trinity Bellwoods is Sweet as Pie

The Apple Pie Contest and Fundraiser on Dundas St. West celebrates fall’s sweetest dish!

On Saturday, November 9th, Torontonians can head over to Collective Arts Toronto Taproom & Café on Dundas St. West and grab a slice of homemade apple pie for $5, with all proceeds being to St. Stephen’s Community House – it’s the sweetest fall date yet!

Whether you’re a baking enthusiast, or a lover of apple pie slices, you can enjoy this event for a good cause.

Local bakers can sign up to share their freshly baked apple pies with event-goers and compete for the coveted first, second and third place titles and cash prizes. 

You can sign up to participate online right up until November 8th, the day before the event. To compete in the pie contest you will need to register on Eventbrite or in-person at COMRAGS clothing store (812 Dundas St W.). Registration to compete is $10.

 Pies will be judged on appearance, crust, filling and overall taste by culinary personality Jennifer Emilson and baking expert Michelle Pennock live on-location November 9th. 

The first place winner will take home a cash prize of $200, with second place being awarded $100 and third place $50.

Pastry fans can pop by Collective Arts Toronto, and sample the pies for themselves that are competing, at only $5 per slice!

You can also purchase raffle tickets at the event for a chance to win an entire apple pie to take home, made and donated by The Great Canadian Baking Show contestants Chi NguyễnLauren Tjoe  and Camila Garcia Hernandez as well as from local businesses including Almond ButterflyLa PalmaHarry and the Heels Donuts and Santa Marta Bar y Tapas.
