awards Committee
The datenight awards Committee is comprised of our expert Editors, Writers, and passionate Content Creators across Canada. We’ll be taking into consideration the following four aspects of a date night out when nominating finalists in each category:
Food lovers and date night explorers from all over the country will be writing in their favourite spots based on our categories. Once the nomination window closes, our Awards Committee reviews all the entries to tally up votes that each establishment receives. We couldn’t do this without you!
Quality of the food, quality of the drinks, quality of your overall experience. That’s what we look for when we’re choosing the best date night spots in our city. Our datenight awards Committee will combine the number of votes each establishment gets with our own expertise on the quality of these factors to make our decision.
What’s a date night without good ambiance?! We know setting the mood is a vital part of a good date, so we’re looking to crown the best date night spots that offer a perfect mix of quality and ambiance. Is the lighting on point? Does the interior feel cozy and romantic? Does it make you wanna stay for hours, not realizing how late it’s getting? This is what we’re looking for.
Lastly, we’ll be considering the quality of service at each establishment. Having a date in a welcoming, warm and friendly environment makes all the difference and sometimes, service can make or break the vibe.

We look to our community to send in nominations of their favourite places in their city, based on each category
2. Committee Review
Our team collects and analyzes the nominations and draws finalists based on the establishment's number of votes, quality of the menu items and overall experience they offer, their ambiance (because what's a date night without ambiance?), and quality of service.
3. Announce The Winner
OUR TEAM COLLECTS AND ANALYZES THE NOMINATIONS, We’ll be selecting the top 10 in each category.
