Calgary has a new spot for brunch dates, and we’re so excited! Fortuna’s Row (421 Riverfront Ave SE) is a contemporary Latin-American supper club on Calgary’s Riverfront, making for the perfect vibe with the launch of their new, highly-anticipated brunch service.
Now, you and your date can experience their airy, plant-filled restaurant on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 2pm for a brunch menu fill of Latin-inspired dishes!
Chef Mikko Tamarra’s brunch menu features house-made plays on crowd favourites such as the smashed avocado, poached egg, panela cheese on sourdough toast, or the decadent pancakes, served with salted caramel chantilly and sesame praline.
On the South American-inspired side of the menu, don’t overlook the Chilaquiles with salsa verde, black beans, cotija cheese, and picadillo, or the Papadzules, served with duck confit, pipian, fried egg, and braised tomato, which is fast becoming a house favourite.
Pastry Chef Teisha Huff’s contributions include a delicious Concha, a traditional Mexican Pastry, is making waves with its light, fluffy texture, and rotating flavour profile.
The true star of her contribution is the infamous “Ugly Corn Bread” with blueberry, haskap and crème fraîche where flavour trumps appearance in a big way (we promise you won’t be able to to stop eating it).
