It’s no secret that European cities are known for their immaculate historical culture and stunning architecture. Barcelona, Spain is especially one of those cities to not forget about in your travel plans.

Everything from tapas, to paella, to beaches, and Gaudí’s famous architectural buildings are all things worth traveling for with your special someone. Check out these spots with your favourite travel date, these will have you both falling in love all over again!

MOCO Museum Barcelona

The cutest dates always begin with a fun bonding experience – MOCO Museum is the best place to start with in Barcelona! Explore a range of modern and contemporary art together as you surround yourselves with artwork created by phenomenal artists.

There are numerous exhibitions available including some well-known ones by Andy Warhol, KAWS, and Studio Irma with her immersive rooms! The immersive art itself is enough to make your heart skip a beat because of the multi-sensory environment of gorgeous colour-changing lights that repeat themselves within the infinity mirrors.

If you can, take a moment and sit down to embrace that magical feeling you get through this sensory experience.

Paella at Casa Delfín

It’s not a date night without a proper paella meal in Spain! Although the origin is from Valencia, Barcelona’s paella dishes are just as delicious.

We’ve tried paella from several restaurants and we undoubtedly have to agree that Casa Delfín is ranked on the top of our list. Firstly, the interior and ambiance reflect a dimmed-light and moody atmosphere that’s perfect for an intimate dinner. They have a gorgeous bar on the side where cocktails and sangria are served (sangria is a must when pairing with paella!)

We ordered the Oven Roasted Galician Queen Scallops as appetizers. As soon as this dish was set on our table we immediately could smell the roasted butteriness from it which made our mouths water. The seafood paella was the star of the show where we were faced with a massive pan of a beautifully presented dish.

Again, we instantly could smell the saffron emitting from the seasoned rice as well as mussels, prawns and clams. Every bite was insanely flavourful and it was unlike any rice dish we’ve ever had. This restaurant will have you and your date still thinking about it the next day wanting for more.

Boqueria Market

Take your date to tour around almost 300 stalls at the most famous market in the world right here in the heart of Barcelona! Tons of food and fresh produce can be found of the highest quality. Not only do locals shop here but because it is so well-known worldwide, many tourists will often have Boqueria market saved in their itineraries too.

While it may get a bit crowded with people, lineups to order tend to move along quite fast. We tried a variety of different kinds of empanadas, freshly pressed juice and of course, their seafood which can’t be missed! It’s certainly a cute spot for when you and your date want to try different things at once and even share!

Casa Vicens Gaudí

Step inside this modernist building of one of Antoni Gaudí’s first pieces of architecture he has ever built that defined the beginning of his career. Its uniqueness is so apparent to the point where it can be deemed as art right down to every single patterned detail. Serving as a museum in honour of Gaudí as well, Casa Vicens is a wonderful spot to indulge in architectural history and his life. With so many different shapes and vibrant colours all around, the house makes a great place for photo-ops of you and your date together!

Paradiso

Bars will always be a vibe – but have you ever been to the #1 rated bar in the WORLD? Paradiso was ranked first on The World’s 50 Best Bars list in 2022 last year. It also doubles as a speakeasy, meaning it is concealed behind a regular shop where you enter through a door. This spot did not disappoint because we were amazed at how incredible the cocktail presentations were. We ordered the Roots and Tesla cocktails – both which involved interactive experiences, making it a very fun date night while you both sip away on your cocktails while enjoying the lively music.

The date nights don’t stop here! Barcelona has so much to offer and practically any spot can be turned into a date spot wherever you decide to visit, as long as you’re spending it with your loved one.
