MRG Live Presents: Anthrax & Black Label Society

on Sunday January 22nd, 6:30pm

The multi Gold and Platinum, six-time GRAMMY-nominated Anthrax spent a good portion of 2021 celebrating the band’s landmark 40th birthday.

Everything about Black Label Society begins with the riff from their debut studio album, Sonic Brew (1999), to their critically-acclaimed eleventh studio album, Doom Crew Inc. (2021). A dedicated disciple of Zeppelin, Sabbath, and Deep Purple, frontman Zakk Wylde looks to the massive guitar hooks in classics as guiding lights.

Last year, thrash architects EXODUS celebrated 30 years since the release of their first album, thrash metal’s classic blueprint Bonded By Blood. Keeping with that tradition, EXODUS was joined by their original guitarist, Metallica’s Kirk Hammett, on their most recent release Blood In, Blood Out (2014).
