Calling all lovers of the outdoors! If you’ve been searching high and low for some hiking inspiration in B.C., today is your lucky day. 

We’ve curated a list of six magical hiking spots to experience which includes everything from beginner hikes to some bolder options for all the thrill-seekers out there.

Century Sam Lake

Century Sam Lake is a 6.6-kilometer out-and-back trail that can be found at Strathcona Provincial Park on Vancouver Island. Although the route may be considered challenging, the striking bright blue lake views you can catch along the way would be totally worth it. 

Norvan Falls

Norvan Falls is a long yet relatively easy hike to try out in North Vancouver. The 13.8-kilometer walk located at Lynn Headwaters Regional Park will lead you right to a picturesque waterfall. Basically, it’s the perfect hike to explore on a hot summer’s day. 

Helmcken Falls

This trail located in Wells Gray Provincial Park is truly for all the beginner hikers out there. If you’re looking for something easy peasy and incredibly mesmerizing at the same time, Helmcken Falls is it. The easy 1.0-kilometer out-and-back trail will actually lead you straight to one of Canada’s highest waterfalls.

West Ridge Trail

West Ridge Trail in Sun Peaks, B.C. is a must-try hike for anyone looking to see some stunning wildflowers along the way. The moderately-challenging 1.5-kilometer trail will take roughly 45 minutes to complete. 

Brandywine Falls

This short hike in Whistler, B.C., is a great way to catch some magical views, without all the work. Brandywine Falls is a laid-back 1.3-kilometer trail that will only take around 26 minutes to complete. Plus, you can expect to see a sparkling waterfall at the very end of it.

Panorama Ridge

This gorgeous trail is probably the hardest one on the entire list, so if you’re an experienced hiker, this one is for you. Panorama Ridge is a 28.3-kilometer loop trail in Garibaldi, B.C. and the views that it provides are out of the world. We’re talking about The Lord of the Rings type of views from these mountain tops.
