Rides and Entertainment
The Markham Fair will, of course, offer a Midway for kids (and inner-children) of all ages offering over 20 adrenaline-filled rides and fun games!
Head over to The Entertainment Tent for contests for the kids, family-friendly shows to entertain the little ones daily, face painting on Saturday and Sunday, Markham Fair Drag Xtravagance on Thursday, and daily SuperDogs shows!
Multiple stages across the fairgrounds will have live music throughout the day, but the main music event each night takes place on the Crow’s Corral stage.
Attractions
Those of all ages will be in awe of the Largest Outdoor Monster Truck Madness with Freestyle Motocross FMX happening Sunday October 2. There will be cars crunched, bikes doing tricks you don’t want to try at home, making this the perfect exhilarating show to close out the weekend and watch with your date.
For the little ones, pony rides will be offered as well!
Food, food, food!
A wide variety of treats and snacks are available offer throughout the grounds so you don’t miss any of the action when your stomach growls. Do you have a favourite fair food to share with your date?
In addition to the food vendors throughout the grounds, the Markham Fair Community Group food buildings and food trucks are also returning to the Markham Fair this year.
Enjoy a wide variety of fare from food vendors as well as beer and wine in both the wine and beer tents.
Agriculture
Have your children come face to face with farm animals at Old MacDonald’s Barn, whether it is a Clydesdale Horse or a baby chick.
You and your squad will be able to experience farm life with a vintage tractor display, a demonstration on sheep shearing, and an opportunity to see a cow being milked! Be prepared to be amazed by the Heavy Horse Pull or 6-Horse Hitch, entertaining young and old with grace and precision.
At The Agri-Food Tent, meet farm-to-table chefs, learn about the trends in Canadian urban agriculture, and try your hand at farming.
Daily Finale
Every night at dusk during the Markham Fair, don’t miss the daily finale! This involves a spectacular fireworks show by Pyro Mario, illuminating the sky and welcoming fall in the brightest way possible.
