With fall and Halloween-themed date ideas in full swing for the season, it seems like every open space of land (and concrete) has been turned into an event to have fun with the whole family. This is certainly the case at the light trail-meets-fall fair Nights of Lights and Pumpkinville at CF Sherway Gardens mall in Etobicoke.
The two-part fall festival is open to explore Thursdays – Sundays until October 31!
An immersive walk-through Halloween experience awaits
Halloween Nights of Lights started as a drive-through experience during the years it was necessary… and now is a thrilling, immersive walk-through trail and festival that is dazzling and fun around literally every corner.
Bigger and better, this year’s experience features more than 1.5 million LED and RGB lights animated and synchronized to your favourite Halloween tunes.
There’s even a spooky corn maze that’s for the bravest of souls, a light dome that twinkles in the night making a gorgeous backdrop for photos, and some creative and unique sections of the trail that you’ll have to see to believe!

You’ll want to move to Pumpkinville!
At the end of the Nights of Lights trail, you’ll enter an amazing area called Pumpkinville. You and your date will be greeted by real pumpkin sculptures and pumpkin houses everywhere, a licensed bar area, food and coffee truck, picnic area to bring pumpkins to paint and carve, amusement rides for the little ones, midway games, so many and activities galore!
Pumpkinville is a larger-than-life fall fair that is the epitome of Halloween vibes. It’s the perfect spot to get your fall family or couple photos with the endless photo opps filled of lights and pumpkins.
Keep wandering through and you’ll come across a gorgeous lit-up Halloween tunnel and trick-or-treating candy being given out to the kids.
There is also an opportunity to pick up your pumpkins to take home, carve, paint… or smash!
Admission to this is included with your Nights of Lights tickets; but also can be purchased on its own for $12.
Take your furbaby with you!
On select nights, you can bring along your furry friends on their Dog Friendly Date days. The days are October 15, 23, and 28 and you must make sure they remain on-leash at all times.
The only thing that could make your fall photos cuter is your puppy in them with you!
Fright Nights
Ready for even more thrill? Nights of Lights has Fright Nights that turn up the haunt with costumed monsters and ghouls from 10-11pm. The selected nights include October 13, 16, 21, and 27.
Nights of Lights is open Thursdays – Sundays from 6:30pm – 11pm and Pumpkinville is open Thursday and Friday from 5pm – 11pm and Saturday and Sunday from noon – 11pm.
