Get excited for the best foodie date ever at the annual Rocky Mountain Wine and Food Festival located at the BMO Centre on October 13th & 14th. It’s the perfect reason to find a new favourite and spend the weekend exploring the world of gastronomy!
What started as an event featuring domestic beers and spirits, and has since has turned into a celebration of all types of beverages and cuisines! Across Alberta (heading to Edmonton in November), the festival continues to be a reflection of the continuous growth of the hospitality industry.
This year’s two-day festival will feature chefs from over 25 restaurants and more than 200 wineries, breweries, cideries, and distilleries who are showcasing their finest offerings and providing amazing samples.
A new addition to this year’s festival is the VIP Wine Experience, which provides an wonderful journey through the Grand Tasting Hall, featuring a minimum of 10 premium wines, including selections like El Barba from Zorzal Wines (Argentina) and Los Chamizal Zinfandel from Deerfield Winery (Sonoma Valley, California).

The Food
Thousands of guests travel from across Western Canada to dive into this global culinary adventure! They’re bringing flavours from all over the world this year from Mexico to Austria and beyond.
It’s not just international delights but you’ll get to savour some amazing local Calgary treats as well. Some well-loved spots dishing out their best bites in the lineup include Brix + Barrel, Blowers & Grafton, Sunterra Market, Codo Agave Social House, Terra, The Mash, Veranda, and more!
With everything from pretzels and charcuterie to cheese tarts and succulent short ribs, you’ll be in foodie heaven.
The best part? Oysters will be served with gin and tonic liquid nitrogen pearls, a creation by Chef Joshua Dyer and The Wilde on 27th.

Giving Back to the Community
Since 1998, the Rocky Mountain Food Festival in Calgary has been actively giving back to the community. Thanks to the generous support of festival-goers and sponsors, they were able to generate donations exceeding $200,000! They’re committed to making an even greater impact this year by extending its support to admirable organizations such as the Calgary Food Banks.
Guests are warmly encouraged to contribute by bringing either a monetary donation or nonperishable food items to the event. All donations will go towards aiding the Calgary Food Bank to make a meaningful difference in the community!
