It’s officially the season for warming up with your favourite foods and beverages; and the Rocky Mountain Wine and Food Festival‘s 25th Anniversary is the perfect reason to find a new favourite and spend the weekend exploring the world of gastronomy!
The Rocky Mountain Wine and Food Festival is making a touch down in Alberta, at the BMO Centre in Calgary on October 14-15 and at the Edmonton Convention Centre on November 4-5 this fall and we can’t wait.
What started as an event featuring domestic beers and spirits, and has since has turned into a celebration of all types of beverages and cuisines! Across Alberta, the festival continues to be a reflection of the continuous growth of the hospitality industry.
The Food
Hundreds of exhibitors and over 25,000 guests travel from across Western Canada to discover and explore a variety of fine wines, premium spirits, and craft beers, and the menu this year is bigger and better than ever before!
You and your date can tempt your tastebuds with an elevated food and drink experience by exploring and sampling a variety of cuisines prepared by chefs from local restaurants.
Whether you discover a new favourite dish or a local restaurant to add to your must-eat-at list, you will embark on a delicious and flavourful culinary adventure.
Support Local
In addition to fulfilling all your delicious cravings and washing it all down with a beverage sample, the Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival is an opportunity to support local businesses and give back to your local communities.
You can check out the festival’s ‘Support Local’ newsletter, featuring local vendors who are doing good throughout Alberta, and give your favourite local businesses some love by sampling and purchasing their products.
With samples available at every booth, you can give everything a try!
Make it a Staycation Date!
For those who want to enjoy the entire weekend, the Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival has partnered with local hotels to make sure everyone’s enjoying their time responsibly! The best dates don’t have to end when the night is over, are we right?
If you’re looking to make the date last all night, you can book a stay for the best available rates to event attendees at
Calgary: The Westin Calgary for a Special Group Rate of $139/night
Edmonton: The Westin Edmonton for a Special Group Rate of $189/night, or The Matrix Hotel that includes free parking and a complimentary hot breakfast buffet for two.
