The International Christmas Market has a cozy vibe, tons of different sellers, and fun things to do, so it’s no surprise that it’s a favourite tradition for locals in Calgary and beyond.
Here’s everything you can expect at this year’s International Christmas Market:
1. Long Table Dinners
These dinners experiences serve beautifully made wines paired with delicious dishes from three different countries across the globe. On Fridays of the Christmas Market, it’s all about themed dinners showcasing amazing culinary treats paired with wines from Ukraine, Germany, and Italy over three weekends in a row!
Long Table Dinners are located at the Gallery on the Green Congress Hall and are open to those 18+.
Ukraine Long Table Dinner
A three-course Ukrainian dinner on November 17 (7pm) by Great Events Catering‘s chefs, paired with Ukrainian wines perfectly matched to each course. Menu
Germany Long Table Dinner
The chefs at Great Events Catering will prepare and present German delicacies accompanied by carefully chosen premium German wines for every course during the November 24 (7pm) dinner. Menu
Italy Long Table Dinner
Discover the beauty of Italy on December 1st (7pm) through a variety of dishes by Great Events Catering’s chefs. Complementing every dinner course are thoughtfully curated Italian premium wines, elevating the evening with a hint of elegance. Menu
2. Santa: presented by Rümi
Get ready to feel the enchantment of the season with a special appearance by Santa Claus on Candy Cane Lane! Grab a memorable holiday snapshot with Santa for a $5 donation, with all the proceeds going to support Habitat for Humanity.
When: Fridays during the International Christmas Market from 3-6 p.m; Saturdays and Sundays from Noon–4 pm.
3. Sunday High Tea
Join Spruce Meadows on Sundays during the International Christmas Market for a relaxing afternoon of High Tea. Experience a variety of fine teas served alongside a carefully chosen assortment of delicious snacks specifically crafted for this event, all arranged on the long table. Menu

4. Santa’s Reindeer
Santa will make appearances at the market every day, and for an added delightful surprise, his magical reindeer will join the fun each Sunday! You can also catch them at the Riding Hall Circle for a photo opportunity.
5. DIY Zone
The Winter Wonderland is brought to you by Bantrel and is a magical spot specifically created to bring joy to kids. With activities like stuffing a stuffie at Pinnovate DIY and getting involved in crafting at Make+Take Crafts, the Pinnovate DIY Zone is a spot that you must-visit with your children.
6. Petting Zoo
While you’re checking out the Winter Wonderland section, make sure to stop by the family-friendly petting zoo! It’s a free experience that adds an extra dose of happiness to your winter celebrations, giving kids the chance to safely interact with and enjoy the presence of charming animals.
