This February, Valentine’s Day at The St. Regis Toronto isn’t about the expected, it’s about curating moments of romance, indulgence, and intention. We spent an engagement celebration staycation there, and it’s clear why the hotel has designed its Valentine’s Celebration package to feel like a carefully choreographed luxury escape for couples.
From champagne in our hands the moment we arrived to rose petals in the bath after dinner and before dessert, every detail is a nod to connection and indulgence.
arriving & the valentine’s celebration package
Arriving at the hotel, you’re greeted with a touch of thoughtful luxury from the start. The valet entrance drives you right into a heated drop-off area, so you step out of the car and into warmth, straight into the stunning lobby (this is especially helpful in the cold winter months!).
The lobby has the Astor Lounge tucked elegantly behind the concierge desk (remember that for later) and a team member is immediately on hand to assist with check-in, help with luggage, and ensure the experience feels seamless and premium from the moment you arrive.
As part of the Valentine’s Celebration package, we were welcomed with two glasses of Champagne, which set the perfect celebratory tone.
The full experience of the Valentine’s Celebration package includes:
- Two glasses of Champagne upon arrival
- Invitation to the Champagne Sabrage ritual (6pm nightly)
- Two Valentine’s Day cocktails at LOUIX LOUIS (before 6 PM) or Astor Lounge (available all day)
- In-room romantic amenities including sweet treats
- A thoughtfully curated wellness welcome package from The Spa in-room
- A bespoke, butler-prepared rose-petal bath experience, available upon request
- Morning beverage service
- A decadent Canadian Breakfast for two, served in your room or at LOUIX LOUIS
- $200 spa credit, and
- Late checkout at 3 PM

the sabrage ritual & valentine’s cocktails
That evening, we were invited to, so of course joined the 6 p.m. Champagne Sabrage ritual in the Astor Lounge; a signature St. Regis tradition held at every property worldwide.
It’s a beautiful, interactive experience where a champagne bottle is ceremoniously opened with a sabre, accompanied by a brief history of the hotel and its family, the Astor’s, legacy. Guests toast with sparkling wine, a magical start to any romantic evening.
We also tried the Valentine’s cocktails being offered this season there, available during your stay at either in the Astor Lounge or at LOUIX LOUIS.

in-room surprises & sweet indulgences
Back in the suite, upon arrival we discovered the Valentine’s amenities waiting for us that included a breakable chocolate heart with truffles inside and a pink chocolate and raspberry mousse cake shaped like the word “LOVE”.
Small touches like these, curated for couples, make the experience feel personal, indulgent, and playful all at once.

Our spacious King Suite had also been transformed to mark our engagement, complete with a bouquet of roses, rose petals scattered across the bed, and a banner.
The St. Regis Toronto concierge team can arrange personalized romantic touches for any milestone; proposals, anniversaries, or Valentine’s Day surprises making each stay truly unforgettable.

In the bathroom, a beautiful gift from The Spa team greets you alongside their stunning bath, shower, double-sinks and heated floors.
This basket includes bath soak, eye masks and a Gua Sha.

One of the standout experiences in the package is the Rose-Petal Bath Ritual…
Arranged through the hotel’s team, the bath is fully butler-prepared to your exact specifications: water set to the perfect temperature, luxurious Bathorium bath soaks, bubbles, carefully placed rose petals, ambient lighting, and scented candles.
The result is a romantic oasis in the comfort of your room, ideal for couples to relax together after a busy day or pre-dinner.
We were able to schedule ours after our evening cocktails and in-room dining, and it was absolutely picture-perfect… the kind of experience that feels both indulgent and intimate.

private in-room dinner date
For dinner, we opted for in-room dining, a truly luxurious way to experience the hotel’s culinary offerings without stepping into the cold or having to dress up to be out in public.
Our room service spread included:
- St. Regis Burger – a 7oz Wagyu Beef Patty, lettuce, tomato, onion jam, Applewood Smoked Cheddar Cheese, burger sauce on a sesame bun with your choice of sides
- Caesar Salad – Baby romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese, bacon bits, baked crostini, caesar dressing, halved boiled eggs
- New York Striploin – 11oz AAA New York Striploin, roasted asparagus, grilled peppers, mashed potatoes, beef jus
- Mafaldine Pasta – with roasted mushrooms, porcini & parmesan sauce, chives, Parmesan cheese
The St. Regis elevates in-room dining with attention to detail: trays arrive on wheeled tables that turn into intimate dining setups, and when you’re done, you can press a button for seamless tray collection.
This felt like the perfect break from our everyday routine of making dinner, and it felt amazing to connect over great food right in front of us.

a morning in luxury, too
The Valentine’s Celebration package includes morning beverage service and breakfast, which we enjoyed in the comfort of our suite.
The morning beverage service is something the concierge team arranges with you the evening before, setting a time between 7:00am – 10:30am and beverage selection to arrive at your door to wake you up in the morning.
You can choose between French Press coffee, espresso, juices, waters, and even hot chocolate – which we had to opt for.

Highlights of our private in-room dining breakfast included:
- Chocolate Chip Pancakes – from the kid’s menu, sh! They’re served with maple syrup, whipped cream and Nutella
- Canadian Breakfast – Two eggs any style (we did scrambled), breakfast potatoes, fresh fruit, your choice of protein, toast, juice, tea, or coffee
- Side Chicken Sausage
- Side Smoked Bacon
- Berry Bowl
It’s a decadent and relaxed way to start the day… especially after a night of Champagne, cocktails, and rose-petal baths.
