A dreamy and innovative theatrical experience penned by Oscar-nominated writer Evelyne de la Chenelière (Monsieur Lazhar, 2011) based on Virginia Woolf’s 1927 novel To The Lighthouse. Incorporating live music, poetic text and striking visuals, To The Light is a profoundly moving performance that explores the friendship between two women who are at once drawn together and torn apart by the roles they have embraced as women in the early 20th century, one a mother and society wife, the other an ambitious but struggling career woman.

 

3. Dangerous Liaisons

Alberta Ballet’s internationally acclaimed portrayal of a dark and decadent French aristocracy will be on stage just in time for Halloween. An infamous sexual thriller was originally created for The National Norwegian Ballet. Jean Grand-Maitre’s notorious balletic incarnation will feature Alberta Ballet’s powerful athletic dancers that will give provocative life to Choderlos de LaClos’ legendary book.

4. Haunted Calgary
October 27, 28 & 31 – 6:00 pm to 10:00 p

Welcome to the largest walk-through haunted yard attraction in Calgary, featuring approximately 10,000 square feet of scares! This is an outdoor attraction so dress warm and be prepared to scream.

5. Aspen Crossing’s Train of Terror
Friday & Saturday, October 27th & 28th, train departs at 5, 7 and 9 p.m.
